PERCEPTUAL DYNAMICS
With some people, what the eye sees
or the ear hears is not properly
processed by the brain, causing
misperceptions—a distortion of the
message—as well as discomfort.
Often these perceptual difficulties
can be overcome through Auditory
Integration Training (AIT) for the
auditory system and Irlen
Diagnostics for the visual system.
Within two weeks, these types of
issues can be brought back under
control. Text can be properly
perceived to allow quick
improvement in reading or auditory
issues can be improved so a person
can quickly and accurately interpret
verbal information. Both correction
techniques are research based,
involve no medications and no
lengthy protocol.IRLEN SYNDROME
Irlen Syndrome causes stress
and distortions when a person reads
Distortions are many, including print
that becomes blurry or seems to
move. It can also cause headaches,
migraines and depth perception
issues. A unique mix of colors in
plastic overlays, colored lenses or
colored contacts can remove the
stress and distortions. Results are
often noticeable immediately.
A free pre-screening can be
mailed or e-mailed to you. It will
indicate if you are a good candidate
for the screening. The Irlen Method
involves a modification to the
environment which removes that
“unexplainable something” that
keeps a person from being able to
perform in visually intensive
activities such as reading.
AUDITORY INTEGRATION
TRAINING (AIT)
Some people are hypersensitive
to certain sound frequencies. This
can cause distraction or discomfort.
Others have trouble picking out a
voice in a crowded room. The
message becomes distorted. Stifl
others are slow to process verbal
information. While a part of the
message is being processed, the
rest of the message is missed.
AIT trains the auditory system to
quickly and correctly process
auditory messages.
A free pre-screening indicates
whether or not a person is a good
candidate for the AIT. AIT requires
two weeks of daily visits to our clinic
for treatment.
