Nasima Akhter, a hard working woman, built her happiness.

Brief: Nasima khatun is a house wife of a rural area of Jhalakathi under the division of Barisal.
Her husband name is Mr. Shahed who is a farmer. She has three children (1 son and 2
daughters). She is the owner of Nasima poultry firm- the only poultry firm in her village.

Behind scenario: Nasima Akhter studied up to class six. Because of her family’s financial
problem she couldn’t continue farther and later she has to marry Mr. Shahed- a farmer of same
village. Because of her lack of knowledge in family planning she has given birth her 1st child
after passing two years of marriage and 2nd and 3rd on the next consecutive years. As her husband
is a farmer he couldn’t feed his family properly. So there aroused a lot of financial problems.
Nasima and her husband were unable to feed up their children.

Then after passing some worst time Nasima was given advised from one of her neighbour to take
loan from her local Grameenbank. She took a loan of tk.10, 000 and started Goat farming. But
she couldn’t survive with that business. Three of her goats were theft. She became frustrated
with that lost project. But she couldn’t stop there; she was searching for new opportunities. And
at the last she anyhow managed another loan of tk.20, 000 and started a new project of poultry
firm in her village. This time she succeeded. She is the only monopolist poultry owner of her
village. Now she has capital of tk.500, 000.

She got her family solvency by this poultry firm. All of her three children have been going to
school. She says, ‘I am the happiest women in this village. She is really the happiest women in
her village. She built her happiness through hard working.
