10ID celebrates 20th OESPA Founding Anniversary

Camp Felix Apolinario, Panacan, Davao City- The 10th Infantry Division
celebrated the 20th founding anniversary of the Office of the Ethical Standards and
Public Accountability Monday morning, October 11, 2010 at Naval Station, Camp
Pancan, Davao City.

The 10th Infantry Division Commander, Maj. Gen. Jorge V. Segovia,

spearheaded the celebration of the event with a theme “OESPA: Matuwid na
Panunungkulan, Susi sa Isang Maunlad at Mapayapang Bayan”.

During the ceremony, soldiers swore their allegiance to the AFP Code of Ethics.
Cpt. Alexander Dawa, a military priest, shared the moral and spiritual values that
soldiers should cherish. Lieutenant Colonel Basilio Togonon reminded the soldiers
about the professionalism in the uniformed service.

In his message Maj. Gen. Jorge V. Segovia encouraged all officers and men to to
work hard and contribute to the accomplishment of the AFP mission. “As soldiers, we
have to show our people that in our words and actions that we are the protector,” Maj.
Gen Segovia said.
