text about Angela’s classroom. Read it slowly, twice of three times as
needed.

Angela is eleven years old. She goes to school number thirteen. There are
fifteen classrooms in her school. In her classroom, there is a blackboard, a
map, fourteen desks, and seventeen chairs. There are twelve students in
her classroom – half of them are Spanish, a quarter are Italian, two are
Brazilian and one is Polish.

• Get feedback – ask some of the students to read parts of the text aloud.
