With not having Learning Center ns/ equipments to do certain procedures like PCR in HS lab, this site helps students to visualize the procedure without doing it for themselves. 4 Discovery http://www.discoveryeducation.com/ This site was introduced to us by one of Dr. KB. It has many videos for Education specific lesson with worksheets and quizzes. Downside is that it is not free. 5 Learn NC http://www.learnnc.org It has general information for educator such as practices and project ideas. It also has lesson plans for different curriculum as well as science. 6 Pearson Education http://www.phschool.com/science/biolog This is great site to go over 12 required labs for AP Biology. It is great to use Lab Bench y_place/labbench/ as prelab to go over the procedure for the lab and to use it as post lab to go over the objectives. 7 Curriki http://www.curriki.org/xwiki/bin/view/C Great to use it with AP Bio but general science can use this site as well. Give these essay questions as your own test questions and have students grade the test using the rubric that’s provided. It gives information about specific type of genetic orders/whataregd/ disorder, karyotypes and animations of nondisjuction in meiosis. It has syllabus to guided Association of curriculum-page/ reading questions that’s align to the most popular text for the course. Biology Teachers' Awesome website and I use it all the time.
