COLOR CONTROL, IMAGE MANIPULATION, ACTIONS, FILTERS AND BATCH FILES

Color control is one of the primary functions of Photoshop, which is why it has numerous ways of
adding and altering color. In this assignment we are going to use some of these to make chang-
es to your images.

Also, we will cover some basic filters, the Gradient tool, how to use the Actions palette and how
to batch files.
Due 11-15

You will learn:

Brush Modes
Image/ Adjustments
Adjustments palette
Swatches palette
Gradient tool
Basic Filters
Actions palette

You will be required to use:

Image 1: Hand tint image with the brush tool. Give the image a color
background with the Gradient tool.
Image 2: Use Adjustments palette, adjust color of image.
Image 3: Clean up image color using standard adjustments (under Image).
Image 4: Use three filters on different parts of the image to give the image
a painted effect.
Image 5: Create a pattern using pieces of image using Actions palette.
Batch file: Batch all images so they are 4x6’s, 150dpi JPGs.

You will turn in:

Five (5) photos, all 150dpi TIFFs, One (1) batch folder containing
150dpi JPGs

You will be graded on:

Your ability to follow instructions, properly saved files with proper
resolution
