BOOK DONATION PROJECT

The Philippine Council of Deans and Educators in Business (PCDEB) in partnership
with the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) launched in the middle of this year a
nationwide book donation campaign to selected business schools. The primary
objective is to familiarize or orient the business students who will be future investors
regarding the operations of the PSE. This book drive is still on going.

According to Atty. Val Antonio Suarez,

President and Chief Executive Officer of
the PSE, only 1% of the entire
population of the Philippines is
knowledgeable about the CAPITAL
MARKET and only one fourth of the 1%
is actually making investment.

To encourage more investments in

stocks which will spark the Philippine
economy, the PSE is not only donating
books but also is giving free seminars
on the intricacies of stock investment to
business students and educators.

Dr. Nelson S. Abeleda, President of

PCDEB and the Dean of the College of
Business Administration and CPA
Review Director of the University of
Manila, on the other hand, also donated
books he authored or published for and
in behalf of PCDEB.

He said this is part of his social

responsibility and his humble way of
contributing to the enhancement of the
quality of business education.
