Linear Programming Project

Part 1
Your group is going to create a company that offers two baked good items. Answer the
following questions about your items. You must include ALL work used to obtain each
answer. Please see the rubric for additional questions and point values
1. Price Equation
2. Cost Equation
3. Objective Quantity equation
4. Constraints (consider your time, partner’s time, equipment use, etc.)
5. Number of each item to maximize profit
6. Maximum profit per day
7. Maximum profit per month (30 days in a month)
8. Analyze your findings – are you happy with your profit? Do you think your price
is reasonable? Does the time needed for minimum for profit feasible? Etc.
Put all of this information on a poster board. You will turn this in and it will be posted
during the baked good sale. You will also need to turn in your work to Mrs. Livermore
which can be separate from your poster.

Part 2
Your group will sell your baked good items on your designated day either during lunch
or after school (both if you’re ambitious). Make sure you sign up for a time to sell your
products. You will make your baked good item and bring it to school to sell. Before your
day to sell, you will need to advertise your products. All profits will go to the organization
agreed upon by the class.
