INTRODUCTION
It is observed that Gender discrimination is very common issue of today’s world.

In Pakistan it is highly seen in almost every field. The propose of my research

paper is to study the gender discrimination at work place in Pakistan

 Literature Review
labor market discrimination is said to arise when two identically productive
workers are treated different by grounds of workers race gender, when race or
gender do not have themselves an effect on productivity. Alton & blank
1999:Heckman 1998)

There are several ways of conducting this decomposition of the observed gender
wage gap; for instance Oaxaca (1973) provides a leading example. (Gender

 According to Dr. Aliya Khan, Professor Economics Department, Quaid-i-Azam

university Islamabad, In Pakistan female workers are less than male but they

are also less paid than males there is wage discrimination in Pakistan It is

thought that they are less productive .so when they do more work & less pay get

their motivation level decreases .

 At workplace Pakistani women are facing a lot of discrimination problems .Their

wages are less than their male colleagues, they have less power of decision

making, they have to move & behave as according to the order their male

bosses

DATA COLLECTION & METHODLOGY
My study focus is on gender discrimination in Pakistan. Employees having same

qualities are treated differently. Employee feels discouragement. This is a hurdle

in the way of Pakistan progress.

For my study I have collected the data from previous history of gender

discrimination. I also make interview of people & my personal observations are

also in this research proposal


THEORTICAL FREMEWORK

Gender discrimination is dependent variable

Making power colleagues
 Less Wages (independent variable)

 Less decision making power (independent variable)

 Attitude of male colleagues. (Independent variable)

 Gender discrimination (dependent variable)


HYPOTHESES
 H1: Female wages and their decision making power is less as compare to

males in Pakistan so gender discrimination is very high in Pakistan.

 H2: Gender discrimination is positively correlated with wages decision

making power & attitude of male colleagues.
