HISTORY

Kesari R. Patil founded Kesari on 8th June 1984 with just 100 sq. ft. office & one
clerk typist. He had over 22 yrs. Of experienced of working in traveling company &
arranging domestic tour on a wide scale. In order to give proper direction to hit set goals
& accomplish set objective, it was his wife Sunita, daughter Veena, sons Shailesh &
Himanshu conceived the venture of launching Kesari. Kesari in its first tour to Rajasthan
went with 13 tourists. The climate of Kesari has been the middle class & upper middle
class group & has remained with it dedication & support & shown phenomenal growth in
numbers over years.

, a division of Kesari Tours Pvt. Ltd is entering the field of corporate and
business travel because of its rich experience of 24 years in the travel
industry. The MICE team of experts will assist in developing the overall concept with its
expansive and complete range of services for virtually any event, anywhere. Kesari
MICE will cater to Inbound and Outbound corporate travellers which includes services
like accommodation, sightseeing, Visa, ticketing, foreign exchange, transfers, conference
and meetings facilities etc.

DEFINITION OF KESARI TOURS TRAVELS

“Passenger(s)/You/He/Guest/client/Tourist/Tour Participant” means the person /


persons in whose name/on whose behalf booking or registration is made. "We/Us/K&S"
means K&S - A Division of Kesari Tours Pvt. Ltd. “Independent contractor” means
any hotelier/hotel owner, owner of any airlines or shipping company or Bus supplier or
Railway or Ferry Boat/ Cruise/Coach owner/operator or any other person or organization
who has been selected by the company to render services to the Passenger(s)."Tour
Manager" means Tour Escort/Tour Leader. These terms can be used interchangeably.
"Kesari" means Kesari Tours Pvt. Ltd.

In 1995, KESARI TOURS PVT. LTD. was incorporated to meet the growth of
business. The additional business of FIT, Outbound tours and inbound tours are added to
the present, business.

MUMBAI: Leading tour operator Kesari Tours and Travels is mulling an Rs 100-
crore IPO before the end of the next fiscal to part-finance its expansion plans.

In 1997, the company shifted to new premises at Ground floor, Kings Corner, L.
J. Road, Mahim, and Mumbai. The location of new office is at the center and on the main

B. PRICING

price quoted in our proposal or brochure has been calculated as per the rates prevailing at
the time of printing this brochure. K&S reserves the right to amend/alter the price
published in this brochure in case of supplier rate fluctuations, currency fluctuations due
to changes in the various cross rates of exchange, changes in various taxes, visa fees
and/or fuel costs, before the date of departure. Any such increase in price must be paid
for in full before tour departure by the passenger. In exceptional cases any increase in
price on the tour must be paid in full by the guest on tour.

 Tour Price other than Ex-Mumbai (World tours):

Tour price is based on departure from Mumbai unless specifically mentioned.


Passengers boarding flights from other places will have to pay the entire airfare
difference and bear any additional expenses such as airport transfers, hotel stay etc

 Discounts/Benefits:

K&S reserves the right to amend, alter, vary or withdraw any of the
discounts/benefits without prior intimation. The discount/ benefit is valid for limited
number of seats and limited period for limited dates only. The discount/benefit given
to the passengers will be at the sole discretion of K&S and may vary from passenger
to passenger and for bookings done on different dates for the same tour.

1. BOOKING OF TOURS

Booking tour at any of their offices in Mumbai, Thane,


Pune, Kolhapur, Nagpur, Bangalore, New Delhi,
Ahmedabad and Hyderabad or at any local Kesari's
Preferred Sales agents If any residing out of India they can
book their tour online through www.kesari.in.

At the time of booking, there are 3 Easy Steps to register your tour are as follows:
1. Read carefully the World Showcase including "Terms and Conditions".
2. Select your tour, fill in the Registration form.
3. Pay the Registration amount.

• VISA PROCESSING : (IN CASE OF WORLD TOUR)

The processing time for VISA varies according to the tour you have selected and depends
on the number of countries you wish to visit. Some of the consulates are located in New
Delhi and require longer processing time. Book early for USA tours, to get appointment
dates for personal interviews sufficiently well in advance.

Submit the required Visa documents along with photographs as per the specimen of
respective Consulates within the given time period, failing to do so INR 2000 per visa
will be applicable as Urgent VISA processing fee. If you book the tour within 30 days
prior to departure, urgent Visa processing charges of INR 2000 per visa will be
applicable.

• BOOKING OF STAR CRUISE VACATION:

Specify your desired cabin category and submit a set of passport photocopies at the time
of booking. Pay the registration amount as given in the details. As soon as Star Cruises
confirms your booking, you must pay the balance amount in full.
2. DOCUMENTS TO BE COLLECTED FROM KESARI:

An Estimate for tourist Tour with extras if any. Copy of tourist tour registration form. An
official payment receipt against the Registration amount. Visa forms and a checklist of
the required documents for foreign tours.

3. PAYMENTS

• Full payment or one time payment:


To avoid frequent visits, you can pay the balance amount at the
time of registration through post-dated cheques. If there is any
variation in the final bill, the same will be communicated to you
and the payment will have to be made by cheque.

• Balance payment :
You must make the Balance payment towards the tour price (INR and Forex for World
tours) 30 days prior to the tour departure.

• Late payment :
If they do not receive the entire tour price payable to us 30 days prior to tour departure,
they will not be able to process passenger’s booking and arrange their visas (in case of
World tours). Passenger’s registration amount is likely to be forfeited and their booking
stands automatically cancelled. Cheque payments will not be accepted 15 days prior to
the tour departure. Any payments made 15 days prior to departure will have to be made
by cash / Demand Draft for all tours. For Foreign exchange payment only demand draft
will be accepted.

4. CHECKING OF DETAILS (ONLINE INFORMATION) :

Please use the password printed on passenger’s registration receipt to check the billing
statement, tour itinerary and hotel details available on our website www.kesari.in, If
Booking from Overseas.

5. JOINING THE TOUR

• RESISDENT OF COUNTRY
These passenger join the tour from the beginning of the tour from the time of departure to
the ending of tour.

• JOIN THE TOUR FROM 'ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD' OR AN NRI


OR A FOREIGNER JOIN A TOUR
One can join any of tours. Guests can join the tour from 'Anywhere in the World'. These
guests are termed as Joining and Leaving guests, (J&L guests). They can join the tour at
the first destination and leave the tour at the last destination.

 JOINING & LEAVING GUESTS FOR INDIAN TOURS:


(J&L) Guests must possess Rail/Air tickets for the entire travel including any internal
journey as per the tour itinerary. They must make the payment in US$ either at our
offices or directly by telegraphic. Guests will meet the group directly at the reporting
place as per the itinerary.

 JOINING & LEAVING GUESTS FOR WORLD TOURS:


These guests must possess air tickets for the entire travel including any internal flights
and visas as per the tour itinerary. They must make the payment in US$/Euro either at our

offices or directly by telegraphic transfer or book online. The cost of air travel including
internal flights, airport tax, departure tax, visa, Insurance and airport transfers are not
included in the tour price. These guests will meet the group directly at the reporting place
as per the itinerary. Insurance is necessary for Europe and Dubai tours. Guests are
requested to keep proper communication with our team about respective departures.

FUTURE PLANS

 Leading tour operator Kesari Tours and Travels is mulling a Rs 100-crore


IPO before the end of the next fiscal to part-finance its expansion plans."We are
contemplating raising resources either by way of an IPO or private placement in
FY09," Veena Patil, Chairman and Managing Director of Kesari Tours, told media on
Sunday.

 The company, which has been growing at nearly 40%, is also receiving
several proposals for joint ventures. "We are also receiving several proposals for joint
ventures from leading foreign tour operators, who want to have a presence in India,"
she said, adding "two foreign funds have evinced interest in invest USD 25-million in
our company."

 Kesari Tours, celebrating its 23rd anniversary, clocked a turnover of Rs


235-crore in FY07 and is eyeing a turnover of Rs 345 crore in FY08. "We hope to
clock a Rs 500-crore turnover in FY09" she said.

 The company's growth strategy includes strengthening its network to serve


tourists across the country. The company has offices in Maharashtra, Bangalore and
Ahmedabad. It also scents a big opportunity in in-bound traffic to the country.
"Nearly 1.5 million foreign travellers come to India every year and we see immense
potential here," Patil said.

 Asked about the impact of the rising Rupee on the country's tourism
industry, she said that "it has provided a great opportunity for tourism as both
inbound and outbound travel has become cheaper."

 As a part of several innovative concepts to promote tourism, Kesari will
be launching My Fair Lady Club (MFLC) on June 23. The club promises a range of
activities for women members including all women travel tours, get-togethers,
personality development seminars, etc.
