As we continue our advent
journey in preparation for the
coming of Christ, let us ask
ourselves how we can live
our lives in a spirit of true
contrition and repentance
expressed through good
works and spiritual fruits.
Furthermore, just as John the
Baptist in his own unique
way prepared people for the
coming of Christ, we too
have a mission to lead others
to Christ. While John the
Baptist pointed the way to
Christ he said, “He (Jesus)
must increase, I must
decrease.” We too are invited
to point others to Christ while
at the same time let Christ
(and his compassion, love and
forgiveness) increase in our
lives.
