CHAPTER TWO

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

3.1 INTRODUCTION
This chapter deals with Instruments used for collecting data, Population and
Sample, Data Collection Procedure and Method of Data Analysis.

3.2 INSTRUMENT USED


For the purpose of eliciting necessary information needed for study,
questionnaire was the instrument used. The questionnaire was designed in a
way that it will facilitate easy response from the respondents.

3.3 POPULATION AND SAMPLE


Population is defined as the numbers of all members of the target study
while sample refers to a portion of population as representatives of the
population.

The total population of this study was made up to one hundred and twenty
(120) management staff from three selected organisations in Lagos: Federal
Inland Revenue Broad Street Branch, Pemetad Advertising/ Printing Ltd.,
Zenith Bank Plc. Akoka Branch. Shown in the table below are the
Population and Sample Distribution

3.4 DATA COLLECTION PROCEDURE


For the purpose of gathering data, questionnaires were administered on the
management staff of the following organisation forty (40) copies were
administered to the staff of Federal Inland Revenue Broad Street Branch,
forty (40) copies were administered to the staff of Pemetad Advertising/
Printing Ltd. and forty (40) copies were administered to the staff of Zenith
Bank Plc. Akoka Branch. The questionnaire was administered by the
researcher personally and was asked to come back for the collection. Out of
the 120 questionnaire distributed, only hundred (100) were duly completed
and returned to the researcher as shown in the table below:

3.5 METHOD OF DATA ANALYSIS


The data collected were critically analysed and evaluated based on the
responses obtained from the respondents. The data analysis for the research
was done through the under listed method of analyses of the data collected.
