Sharing your lesson plan ideas for English writing

 A writing activity workshop presented in groups of 3

What is it?  Activities will supplement a lesson from your elementary

English textbook.
 This is not a demo lesson.

1. Select a lesson from your English textbook

a) Design a writing activity that will enhance the objectives of that lesson.

2. Complete the lesson plan template

a) Provide a copy for all your classmates and instructor.

3. Workshop your writing activity in 10 minutes (or less)

a) Explain the highlights of how to do your writing activity to your fellow teachers.
b) Ensure all your classmates experience your activity.
c) Provide your classmates copies of all the support materials required to run your
activity. (This may include handouts, samples, and/or PowerPoints).

4. Lead a 10 minute discussion

Questions to include in your discussion:
a) Would you actually use this activity in your own English classroom?
b) What were the strengths of the activity? How could it be improved?
c) How could this activity be adapted for different teaching contexts?
