Anil Potti is a renowned cancer physician from


the United States
Dr. Anil Potti is a United States-based popular physician who takes
care of patients suffering from cancer. He currently has a license to
practice medicine from the North Carolina Medical Board. In 1995,
he received his M.B.B.S. (Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery) degree
from Christian Medical College & Hospital, Vellore, India. From
1996 to 2000, he did his Residency training and was a Chief
Resident in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University
of North Dakota (UND) School of Medicine, Fargo, North Dakota.
During his time at Duke University, he worked as a physician in
the Division of Medical Oncology. In addition to focusing on
providing exceptional care to his patients, Dr. Anil Potti was a
huge advocate for residents, fellows and junior faculty. In addition,
he made significant contributions to the field of oncology and
cancer research in several publications including: Age-and-sex-
specific genomic profiles in non-small cell lung cancer (JAMA
2010), Characterizing the Clinical Relevance of an Embryonic
Stem Cell Phenotype in Lung Adenocarcinoma (Clin Cancer
Research 2009).
In recognition of his dedication to mentoring students and trainees at
Duke University, Dr. Anil Potti was honored with the Joseph
Greenfield Mentoring Award in 2010. In addition, previously, he won
several other prestigious awards including a scholarship for being the
nominee from India for a scholarship to the Australian Association of
Rhodes Scholars, Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA), Outstanding Teacher of
the Year Awards from medical students and residents at UND, Arnold
P. Gold, Leonard B.Tow Humanism in Medicine Award, Robert Silber
Research Prize, ASCO IDEA Mentor in 2008 and 2009.
