There have been
The 4 horsemen of the Apocalypse are often
identified as follows: white for the antichrist or Christ,
red for war, black for famine and green for death.
The problem with all this, is that the antichrist and
Christ are completely opposite. In addition, famine
which is the 3rd horsemen according to this theory
is repeated in the 4th horsemen, this seems illogical.
Also, several assume that these riders will be
released during the last seven years before the
return of Jesus -Christ. However, the Bible makes no
mention of a specific period for the release of these
horsemen.
Let's look if we could have a clearer picture
concerning the identity of these 4 horsemen. There
are two passages in the Bible which give us a
description of these horsemen; Zechariah 6:1-8 and
Revelation 6:1-8.
Zechariah 6:1-8 And I turned, and lifted up my eyes,
and looked, and, behold, there came four chariots
out from between two mountains; and the mountains
were mountains of brass. In the first chariot were
red horses; and in the second chariot black horses;
and in the third chariot white horses; and in the
fourth chariot spotted and bay horses. Then I
answered and said to the angel that talked with me,
What are these, my lord? And the angel answered
and said to me, these are the four spirits of the
heavens, which go forth from standing before the
LORD of all the earth. The black horses which are
citizens in Russia (1930-1939).
go forth after them; and the spotted go forth toward
the south country. And the bay went forth, and
sought to go that they might walk to and fro through
the earth: and he said, Get you hence, walk to and
fro through the earth. So they walked to and fro
through the earth. Then cried he on me, and spoke
to me, saying, Behold, these that go toward the north
country have quieted my spirit in the north country.
So we are talking about spirits "these are the four
spirits of the heavens". We have therefore four
spirits who roam the earth. The colors are the same
as those in Revelation except the last horses that
are spotted red (bay), but nothing prevents them
form being green with red spots.
Let's now consider the description of these same
horses in Revelation starting with the easier to
identify:
The red horse: Revelation 6:3-4 And
when he had opened the second
seal, I heard the second beast say,
Come and see. And there went out
another horse that was red: and
power was given to him that sat
thereon to take peace from the
earth, and that they should kill one
another: and there was given to him a great sword.
Is there a spirit or a dominant ideology in the world
which color is red and that fits the description? The
communist block and the socialists are constantly
associated to the red color; even their flags reflect it;
for example Russia and China. The way communists
think is influenced by this spirit and it can easily be
recognized by its characteristics.
The bible says that wherever communism arrives,
peace is removed. This is indeed the case. These
countries have powerful armies (represented by the
large sword); those who would wage war against
Russia and China would find daunting war machines.
What stands out even more, is the fact that they
have a tendency to make internal purges: For
example Stalin killed about 9 million of his fellow
millions of people killed in China by government
cleansing. The red horse is therefore communism.
The black horse: Revelation 6:5-6
And when he had opened the third
seal, I heard the third beast say,
Come and see. And I beheld, and see
a black horse; and he that sat on him
had a pair of balances in his hand.
And I heard a voice in the middle of
the four beasts say, A measure of
wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for
a penny; and see you hurt not the oil and the wine.
Since this horsemen has a balance in his hand and
that we are given prices for food items, we are
witnessing someone who makes transactions. Could
we find a dominant spirit which would be involved in
trading and whose color is black? By opposition to
communism, capitalism advocates freedom and free
enterprise. The black color is associated with the
anarchist movement which is in fact an extreme
form of capitalism. In other words: Total freedom for
citizens. In this system, it's the law of supply and
demand which sets the prices.
The Bible is describing something like a stock market
exchange report. It even says not to mess around
and damage the economy. It is a fact that people in
the capitalist countries do not forgive governments
when they hurt their wallets. The leaders will not
remain in power for long if the economy is running
bad. This spirit takes the direction of the north (Zach
6:6) and is quieting the spirit of God. We know that
capitalism is predominant in the northern countries
and that it is sometimes difficult to speak about God
in these countries. People may be indifferent
because of their abundant material resources. The
black horse is therefore capitalism.
 The white horse: Revelation 6:1-2
And I saw when the Lamb opened
one of the seals, and I heard, as it
were the noise of thunder, one of the
four beasts saying, Come and see.
And I saw, and behold a white horse:
and he that sat on him had a bow;
and a crown was given to him: and
he went forth conquering, and to conquer.
Is there a spirit of the magnitude of the two others,
who could be associated with white? If we look at the
major movements and their influence in the world;
we must examine Catholicism because of its
influence in the world. Catholicism appeared around
the year 325; and currently there are approximately
1.1 billion Catholics. The horseman's weapon is a
bow allowing him to reach his opponents while
remaining in the back. We are being told that a
crown was given to him; originally, the Pope had no
crown, but one was given to him starting from the
year 1314. Zechariah 6:6 tells us that the horsemen
took the road to the north following the black one.
One finds that the Catholic Church is present in most
of the capitalist countries and that it also has the
power to quiet the spirit of God. Men under
Catholicism's influence usually have closed minds and
rely on the church to be ruled. The official color of
the Pope is the white; note that he is dressed in
white. The popemobile is white, his personal plane is
white and his helicopter is white. If he had a horse,
what color do you think it would be? The white horse
is therefore Catholicism.
The green horse: Revelation 6:7-8
And when he had opened the fourth
seal, I heard the voice of the fourth
beast say, Come and see. And I
looked, and behold a pale horse: and
his name that sat on him was Death,
and Hell followed with him. And
power was given to them over the
fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with
hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the
earth.

have been at work for a long time! We can see that
Catholicism, communism, capitalism and Islam have
been present for quite a while.
To my knowledge I have not seen a better detailed
and credible explanation for the identity of the 4
horsemen of the Apocalypse. Just take the time to
make a serious study on the subject. I challenge you
to find a better explanation for these passages and
expose it in a clear way.
