Letra aeThe journey matters as much as the goal....For the PGDMRM batch of 2008-10,
the journey had been great without doubt- any XIMBian would readily testify
that. And their labour for the last two years has borne fruit, with the
accomplishment of 100% placements on Day 1 itself. The pre-placement jitters
at the beginning of the day were replaced by thoughtful deliberations and
prudent decision making as the day proceeded to being a very eventful and
decisive day in the lives of the 53 young rural managers rearing to go out in the
world and make a difference.
The government’s renewed focus on inclusive growth, the entry of a large
number of corporates into the hitherto untapped rural market, has made the
corporates to open their eyes to the possibilities and the challenges that lie in
the rural sector and have realised the value rural managers can bring into their
organisations. The vast potential that is waiting to be unleashed in the rural
markets has thrown open a plethora of choices to the students who have once
again shown their maturity, competence and compassion by choosing a very
diverse range of portfolios.
