The document describes how to prepare different buffer solutions with specific pH values. It provides instructions for making acetate, carbonate/bicarbonate, citric acid, phosphate, TRIS, barbitone, cacodylate, and phthalate buffers by mixing appropriate volumes of acid and conjugate base solutions and diluting to a final volume. The pH values obtained by adding different volumes of acid are also shown for each buffer system.
