Cross of Alex Allen

1. Isn’t it true that you’ve been in politics since 1989?

2. And isn’t it true that you learned early on that it is sometimes necessary to “hit
people in the face” in order to get things done?

3. Your father was the deputy mayor of Vitiosus, correct?

4. And he taught you that part of politics is getting things done, “by any means
necessary”, correct?

5. You were elected to a four-year term as mayor November of 2009, correct?

6. And this four-year term began January of 2010, correct?

7. And one of the platforms that you ran on in this election was to try to improve the
quality of life for Empireville citizens, correct?

8. And isn’t it true that on February 1, 2010 you gave an interview to the local
Newspaper, The Empireville Edition?

9. And isn’t it true that in this interview you told the newspaper that the school
district should pay the full cost of 3 SRO’s, and half the price of a proposed CIP
plan?

10. Did you contact the school in any way about these proposed costs to them before
the interview?

11. Is it true that on February 26, 2010 you had a meeting with Dr. Crangle, the
Superintendent, about the budgetary problems?

12. And did Dr. Crangle inform you that the school district, facing its own budgetary
problems and loss of state funding, could not afford to finance the proposed
projects?

13. Was there any discussion about problems with student parking at this meeting
between you and the superintendent?

14. And then, is it true that at the next Village Board meeting, you proposed an
ordinance banning parking on all streets surrounding Excelsior High School?

15. Was Dr. Crangle, as the School District Superintendent, made aware of any of the
problems cited as reasons for the ordinance?
16. And this ordinance was passed, correct?

17. Was there any legislation passed concerning the funding for the SRO’s and CIP?

18. Is it true, that you didn’t think it necessary to discuss the true reasons for the
parking ban at the March 11th meeting at which it was enacted?

19. Would you consider the deprivation of a person’s property to be a legitimate

concern?

20. And yet the primary reason that you chose the March 11th meeting to enact this
parking ban was that there was, “no legitimate reason to delay implementation of
the ban?”

Thank you, no further questions.
