This rubric evaluates student presentations of original poems across four categories:
1. Organization - Presentations should have a logical sequence from introduction to reading the poem to identifying techniques.
2. Sounds/visuals - These should explain and add to understanding of the poem, not be overdone or irrelevant.
3. Eye contact - Students should know the content well enough to maintain eye contact with the audience rather than notes.
4. Elocution - Students must speak clearly, at an appropriate volume, and correctly pronounce words so the entire audience can hear.
