Challenging Behavior Must Be Identified in Observable and Measurable Terms, which stakeholders agree upon.
The observer must then note when the behavior occurred.
Antecedents - The observer must note what was happening prior to the challenging behavior, in terms of task
demands, setting, and/or other activities, which preceded it.
Consequences - The observer must note what was happening immediately after the challenging behavior, in terms
of social reactions, attention, things the student may have gained, &or avoided.
