Sweet Italian Circle Pretzel..Anthony Spinelli.

These are called Taralli in Italian..Great with coffee..


No eggs are used in this recipe...Easy to make and bake..
Set the oven at 350 degrees fahrenheit..Bake 20 minutes..
4-cups flour.
6-ounces of corn oil..Never use olive oil fot this recipe..
always use corn oil for the special texture and taste..
3/4-cup honey...if honey is not available use sugar...
1/4- teaspoon salt...
1-1/2 tablespoon Anise seeds..you can substitute fennel
seed if anise is not available..
2-tablespoons of anise extract for great flavor..
1-1/2 tablespoon of Baking Powder...
Mix all wet ingredients....then gradually add the flour,
salt,baking powder,anise seed into the wet mix and stir
in the bowl until all binds together...place on floured
board and knead until it is smooth...only a few minutes..
Break off pieces and roll pencil shape about 12 inches
long...fold into a donut shape and pinch ends together..
Bake for 20 minutes on a cookie sheet until golden...
