LA CÉRÉMONIE COMMÉMORATIVE
DU 32ÈME ANNIVERSAIRE DE LA FONDATION
DES FORCES ARMÉES NATIONALES DE LIBÉRATION
DU PEUPLE KHMER (FANLPK)- 5 MARS 1979-2011.

Au monument aux morts consistant d’un bloc de grès rose où sont inscrits tous
nos combattants civils et militaires, bloc protégé par un abri en béton armé dans le style
de Sambaur Prey Kuh et situé près du stûpa (Chedey) de Samdech Bovor Setha et Mme
SON Sann dans le village de Sré Ampil, Commune de Chheuteal, district de Kien Svay,
province de Kandal, une cérémonie commémorative en souvenirs de tous nos
combattants civils et militaires qui ont contribué à libérer notre pays de la domination
étrangère a eu lieu le samedi 5 mars 2011, en présence de cinq moines bouddhistes, du
Général Dien Del le Chef des FANLPK, et d’autres compagnons de la résistance, comme
LLEE. Kiet Sukun, Pol Ham, Sabu Bacha, M. KOY Chhoeurn, et la population civile de
nos camps de frontière, et des jeunes gens etc… Après les récitations des prières
bouddhiques et les bénédictions à l’égard de nos morts, la troupe de danse du Foyer des
Enfants de la Paix a exécuté une danse du Bounrg Sourng en souvenir de nos morts.

Après les offrandes de nourriture et autres aux moines, un repas fut servi aux
enfants orphelins et pauvres pour acquérir des mérites pour nos morts. S.A.R. Samdech
Sisowath Pongneary a daigné contribuer Cinq Sla Dok et l’offrande en espèce de cent
mille riels aux cinq Vénérables moines.

La cérémonie commencée à 9h s’est terminée bien après 12h00.

THE MEMORIAL CEREMONY FOR THE 32ND ANNIVERSARY

OF THE FOUNDATION OF THE KHMER PEOPLE’S NATIONAL LIBERATION
ARMED FORCES (KPNLAF)- MARCH 5 1979-2011.

At the monument to the dead consisting of pink sandstone bulk, on which are
inscribed the names of civilian and military combatants, stone bulk protected by a
concrete shelter in the Sambaur Prey Kuh style and situated next to the stûpa (Chedey) de
Samdech Bovor Setha and Mrs. SON Sann , in the village of Sré Ampil, Chheuteal
commune, Kien Svay district, Kandal province, a Memorial ceremony for the memory of
our civilian and military combatants who contributed to the liberation of our country
from the foreign occupation, took place on Saturday March 5, 2011 in the presence of
five Buddhist Monks, of General Dien Del, the Chief of the KPNLAF, and other
companions of the resistance, such as Their Excellencies Kiet Sukun, Pol Ham, Sabu
Bacha, Mr. KOY Chhoeurn, and the civilian population of our border camps, as well as
young people etc. After the chanting of Buddhist prayers and the blessings for our dead
ones, the troop of danse from the Peaceful Children Home I performed a Bourng Sourng
danse in memory of our dead ones.

After the food and other offerings to the Buddhist monks, a meal was offered to
the orphan and poor children, as a merit making for the deceased ones. Her Royal
Highness Samdech Sisowath Pongneary has kindly contributed the five Sla Dok and the
offering in cash of hundred thousands riels for the five Venerable Monks.

The ceremony started at 9h00 finished after over 12h00.

Expression of Gratitude and Appeal

We wish to thank all our benefactors for their kind contributions and would be
grateful for further contributions in support of the Works of the SON SANN Foundation,
in its various activities. The SON Sann Foundation will also publish the Memoirs of
Samdech SON SANN, tentatively next October 2011, in Khmer, French and English and
wish that the fund would be mostly from our Cambodian compatriots.
