ABSTRACT

The study determined the feasibility of establishing Seasoned Rice

Lumpia business in Southwestern University Main Campus. The business will
need only one hundred thousand pesos (Php100,000.00) as initial capital. The
said amount would be used to purchase the needed equipment and tools which
can be obtained in the local market, and to provide for initial working capital while
the business is not yet earning during its initial months of operation. The
descriptive method of research was used in this study. A proponent’s self-made
questionnaire was used to distribute to respondents and let them answer.

Most (297 or 78.95%) of the respondents answered “Yes” when asked if

they usually eat brown rice, most (313 or 83.24%) of them would like to eat
seasoned rice lumpia if made available at the campus. Majority (344 or 91.49%)
of them would patronize the product if made available while the price that most
respondents are willing to pay for a 5” per piece of the product is P10.00. The
projected income statement showed that the net profit after tax of the proposed
business are: P124,599, P162,599 and P201,703 for year 1, year 2 and year 3
respectively. The initial investment of P100,000 has resulted to the net cash
inflows of P144,966, P251,613 and P403,380 in year 1, year 2 and year 3 as
shown in the projected statement of cash inflow.

The proponents have arrived at the following conclusions: that there is a

demand for the Seasoned Rice Lumpia at SWU main campus; that the students
of SWU would patronize the product; that the business is feasible and that the
owner could recover his P100,000 investment in less than two years of operation.
