Notes:

• Do not drop the hard drive or apply any physical shock to it.
The hard drive is sensitive to physical shock. Improper
handling can cause damage and permanent loss of data.
• Before removing the drive, have the user make a backup
copy of all the information on it if possible.
• Never remove the drive while the system is operating or is
in suspend mode.

1. Turn off the computer; then disconnect the AC adapter and


all cables from the computer.
2. Close the computer display, and turn the computer over.
3. Remove the battery pack.
4. Remove the screw that secures the hard drive.
5. Open the computer display; then stand the computer on its
side and remove the hard drive by pulling the cover away
from the computer.

6. Detach the cover from the hard drive.

7. Attach the cover to a new hard drive.


8. Insert the hard drive and its cover into the hard drive bay;
then firmly install them.

9. Close the computer display, and turn the computer over so


that its bottom side is up. Reinstall the screw.
10. Reinstall the battery.
11. Turn the computer over again. Connect the AC adapter and
cables to the computer.
