Christopher Stanford said he just didn’t see the fountain in the middle of Laurens

Graniteville Man Accused of Lewd Acts


A Graniteville man has been arrested on allegations that he touched an
8-year-old girl inappropriately while hanging out with her and another girl in his
garage.
The two girls told police that James Whaley did things that were “gross.” The
8-year-old girl said Whaley told one of them to “open her mouth and close her
eyes.” When she did, he spit in her mouth and asked “That’s good, isn’t it?” The

An Augusta mother is accused of beating her 8-year-old
