OSD ASSIGNMENT

In lieu of the Quiz and class on 30th March 2011, the entire class of OSD is required to do
the following 2 assignments (BOTH OF THEM) of 5 pages each and submit the same to the
President’s Office on 31st March 2011 by 13:00 hrs.

Assignment on Kal Aaj Aur Kal:-

The assignment is in 3 parts based on the film Kal Aaj Aur Kal.

1 Make some observations and reflections on the following:-

a. Cultural context of the three generations

b. Social traditions and social structure, values and concept of hierarchy, age and
experience of three generations.
c. Family dynamics
d. Roles& responsibilities
e. Continuities and discontinuities

2. Relate the movie Kal, Aaj Aur Kal to your own family dynamics and your role in the
Family dynamics.

3. How do you see Kal, Aaj aur Kal operationalized in FLAME?

Assignment on Patton:-
The assignment is in 4 parts based on the film Patton.

1. What are the key learnings from the film Patton? What are the leadership qualities
required in a war situation?

2. Identify the strengths and limitations of any individual specifically in Patton and his
leadership role.

3. What are the functionalities and dysfunctionality contributed by Patton to the

overall task on hand?

4. Describe the functional and dysfunctional qualities of a leader by choosing one

Indian Leader.
