personnel responded to the intersectlonof NorthFrontaqe Road and Sherman Avenue on the report ofa person struck by a motorcycle .

. , FirstRespoociers found a fourteen-year-old female suffering from severe wounds to both of

her legs.;T'tle.Victim was lrnmedlatelytransportedto-Yale New Haven Hospital. .Initial medical assessmenfinpicatedthat thevlctirn suffered multiple breaks aswell ascornpoufidfractures to herle9s.5igni.f!~antinjuries were also noted to her hips, thighs, and a possible broken thumb. Thechildwas subsequently transported to a local rehabilitation facility for further treatment. She

A check of the injury log of the police department showed that OfficerMarquis Morrison, a recent graduate ofthe police academy, did report a broken right hand injury to his superiors on May'2 ,2(J10 Morrison said the injury occurred when afreezer door closed on his hand, This injury would be, consistent with the direction the victim was walking (south) and the direction ofthe motorcycle (west). The undersigned spoke with several recent classmates of Morrison who had observed him operating'amoiorcycle during his time at the police academy. Moreover, training staff informed the underSigned lhatMorrison was, verbally warned about riding a motorcycle to class. The bike in

questionwas identified as a Suzuki GSXR 1000. "

On-Thursday, May 27, 2010, Officer Morrison was 'briefly interviewed bythelJndersigned and Lieutenant Adger. Morrison denied ever riding a motorcycle on public roadways as he doesn't have a motorcycle license. When confronted with thetestlmonyalven by classmates and staffat

the police academy, he simply said "They lied", "
