VISION

03: COMMIT TO THE

WHOLE WORLD
Seek the guidance of the Spirit to support
missionaries in diverse parts of the world.
The Church is called to cross all barriers—geographic,
linguistic, political, religious, and cultural. We are to
be witnesses “in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Sa-
maria, and to the ends of the earth.” This means
we remember all parts of the globe, peoples
near and far. This is especially important to-
day, when formerly Christian lands need to be
“re-evangelized,” national churches need to
be equipped, thousands of cultural groups
(Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist and tribals) have
yet to hear the gospel, and when global-
ization has turned “nations” into “neigh-
bors.”

Perfect “balance” is neither possible nor

realistic (we’re already “unbalanced,” if
you compare the number of credentialed
ministers in the USA with much smaller
number of foreign missionaries serving
other nations). Nevertheless, given our
global mandate, a local church should
find ways to partner with diverse mission
ministries in diverse parts of the world.

Each year the US AG adds new works in

various parts of the world, constantly and
prayerfully considering all new requests
for partnership and listening to the testi-
monies of those who feel “called” by God
to go to this or that land. God will provide
resources to match our growing, Spirit-em-
powered vision for the world He loves.
