ENUGU STATE) REPORT FROM THE PLANNING COMMITTEE First meeting of the namely ceremony committee held on first day of January 2011 at chima Nwackwu’s residence at about 7:30am. Opening prayer said by Rev Father who dedicated chima’s new building on the same day, in which we the committee joined to witness and rejoice with the family. Term of Reference: 1. Nae a yn Special Presentation to Ife-Adigo Age Grade General Entertainment Expected Invitees Invitation Card to be Printed. Chairman of the Occasion Decoration / Tidy of the Field Uniform for the Members8. Suggestion, Recommendation, Presentation e.t.c OUR PROPOSALS ON THE ABOVE ISSUES ARE AS FOLLOWS: 1. Special Presentation to Ife-Adigo Age Grade as our special guests. The committee proposed to give them one big cow at the rate of $120,000, one goat at the rate of N20,000, 16 tubers of yam at the rate of 4400 each which cost N6,400, 10 Cartons of Can-bear at the rate of N35,000 and cola-nut e.t.c as the case may be. General Entertainment: The committee suggested to use rice as general food in which 2 bags was proposed at the rate of 410,000 per bag which cost $20,000. One bag of anara at the rate of N5,000, A basket of cola-nut at the rate of N1,500, 20 bags of pure water at the rate of N2,000, one bushel of groundnut at the rate of N3,000, one cow at the rate of N70,000. 20 cartons of can-bear at the rate of 870,000. 5 cartons of can-malt at the rate of N12,500. 50 gallons of palm-wine, that should cost N20,000 while the caterer service charge will cost the total sum of N25,000 for five persons, with their transportation e.t.c Expected Invitees: The committees proposed to invite all the 12 age-grade in umuokpashiaramyalso to invite our co Ebube age mates from another communities in Akpugoeze, we further suggested to invite all the IGWE’s in Akpugoeze, friends and well-wishergas the house may wish. For that case,12 canopies was proposed with the total of $4,800 while the chair shall cost N20 per one that should give total sum of N10,000 Invitation Card to be Printed: we suggested that 150 copies of invitation card should be printed at the rate of N15,000 Gunshot: we recommended to fire twenty eight gunshot, in which to be divided into four times: seven in the early morning, others senven for take off of the occasion, another seven immediately the name EBUBECHUKWU pronounce, while the last seven will be after the closing prayer all at the rate of ... 6. Chairman of the occasion: The committee proposed to invite the following people to serve as chairman and the assistant. They are: (1) Ebekue (2) Lk Nwekeafum (3) Sir Isaiah Nwekegbazueagu (4) Benson Eze (5) Izuchulwu Eze (6) Livinus Onuigwe (7) Obi Agigwo e.t.c and to honour these people and some other, A bottle of wine should be presented to them ahead of the occasion at the rate of 810,000 7. Decoration/Tidying of the Field: we the committee proposed to decorate and tidy the field,the canopies and the environment at the rate of N30,000. we further suggested to hold the event only a day, which is the main day of the occasion in that case,we proposed to invite D.J with M.C at the rate of N5,000, a video with picture coverage at the rate of N10,000 8. Uniform: The committee handed over the uniform to the chairman for him to go on market survey and report back to us which he has done. The meeting ended by 10: 45am and agreed to meet again on a day or two days before the general meeting comes Easter 2011. The committee sincerely thanked our chairman for hosting the meeting despite all his engagement. We also appreciated all the committee members present in the meeting,without excuse for one thing or the other. Furthermore, our gratitude goes most to the great, wonderful and historical Ebube chukwu Age-Gradeyfor the privilege and mandate given to us to serve in this capacity without minding where we come from. We thank you all. As we present our first report today,we plead with everyone of you to give us maximum support, so we would be able to meet our target come 2012. In respect of the above proposals and recommendations,we propose that a budget of N520,200 should be made for the occasion to be successful.
