OIT Help Desk - Connecting to your J: Drive from Off Campus

1. Know your NetID and password. Make sure you are not using the default password.
The default password will not work.
2. Click on the following link: ftp://students.uta.edu
3. Log on using: uta\NetID where NetID is your actual NetID. Enter your non-default
password in the password field and then click Log On.
4. If that worked for you, continue reading. If not, click HERE. You should see 3 folders
upon logging in. To access your J: drive, open StudentHomeFolders. Once inside find
the folder with the first 2 letters of your NetID. Once inside of that folder, locate the folder
labeled with your entire NetID. Inside should be the contents of your J: drive.
