Turn machine on...

Then press the "8" and the " * " at the same time to enter user
mode... user mode 17 changes language in GR series

T4 is an ink overflow condition. You may need to check and clean out ink section of
drum. Remove the ink then press reset button. Then turn off and on and re-insert ink.
T1 fault was when the latch hadn't disengaged. Back panel off, towards the middle at
the bottom there is a small solenoid with a kind of latch/hook. It will be engaged
onto a small lever. IF it is the same fault as above, it's really easy to sort, by pushing it
off with a screwdriver, as a lever. The way to tell is if the roller under the drum is still
engaged. If so, you won't be able to pull out the drum.
T3 error code is indication of some kind of problem associated with the clamping
mechanism. Most of the time, what happens is that there is a magnet attached to a
flag on the rear side of the drum and it has fallen out of place. If you can find the
magnet, reattach it with a strong adhesive. Check for smooth operation of the clamp
by hand as well and lubricate if necessary.
T14 (Clamp Error (2) Clamp Safety SW kept pushed. The 180° angular sensor not
turned ON. Clamp Safety SW not pushed. The thing on top of your drum that holds
the master down is messed up. Or the dohicky that moves it back and forth in the
back of the machine is fubared. good luck, but check and see if there is anything
keeping the flap on top of the drum from moving back and forth freely
Riso GR 3750 print image slips down from the gripper as much as 1/4" within
1000 copies. This is especially annoying when trying to print a 2 color job. I
have to hit the Print Position button twice to the right of center about every 200
sheets just to keep image relatively centered. Is my master slipping? How can I
fix this?
Your problem is with the pressure roller under the drum. Put a new pressure roller in.
Do the adjustments on the attached tech bulletin. You should be good as long as your
pressure is set fine.
My least favorite adjustment on the Riso by all standards. I would do this at last
resort. If you have another print drum put that in and see if the problem still exists. If
it does I would check the pressure roller. The bearings go out on this and will cause
that problem. Does it do it on all types of paper? It it is only on longer paper you have
an issue with the 2nd paper feed not releasing the paper and an adjustment needs to
be made. If it does not still do it after changing the drum then it is a drum issue. The
clamp could have lost its magnetism and it is not holding on to the master. Or the 0-
180 magnet could be sticking up.

Copyright @Dickson
As the machine works this magnet is sticking up and causing the clamp to open a little
with each revolution of the drum. Thus causing the mast to slip. Good luck and I
hope that you do not have to adjust the pressure cradle, but if you do good luck.
T2 indicates an elevator motor failure. Take off the back cover and check the lower
limit sensor for the paper tray to make sure its not full of dust. Reset can be done by
holding the reset key down during power up. Test mode is entered by holding down
LINE/PHOTO and the M/P buttons during power up. Test mode# 102 tests
operation of the elevator motor.
GR 3750 won't print, test copy or make a master. I've removed & re-installed
the master roll several times. It doesn't advance the master material or cut off
excess master material. I turn off machine & start again, push Start and get
"ready to print" or "ready to make master" over & over again. Occasionally it
reads a T2 code. I would start with this. Some times you have to have a
minimum number of copies entered in before the machine will do anything.
Try putting in the quantity 50 before you start to make a master. If you can not key in
anything then I believe you have a larger problem. Hold down the MP and the LP
buttons while the machine is off. Turn on machine. This should put you in test mode.
Type in 90 and press start. This is a reset of the machine. If this does not fix it, then I
would point to a bad board. They that and tell me what happens.

I am having problems inserting a different color drum into a RP3700 . For

some strange reason the drum will not engage into the machine. The only
thing I noticed is the Flange drive gear is not at the correct angle and will not
fit into the connector inside the Machine. The Flange alignment markings are
slightly off. Can anyone help me with re-alignment steps
Sounds like the drum timing is off. When this happens the plastic gear on the drum is
sometimes worn or damaged. If you re timed the drum and it goes out of whack again
you might want to replace the gear. Check the timing marks on the main drive and
second paper feed with the black cylinder in the unit and the timing in Home
Position. If all the timing marks line up then I would suggest realigning the Cylinders
with themselves starting with the Black Cylinder. Do you have the instructions and
the jig? The jig is called the Adjuster 7 [RISO part #: 015-26128-008] and goes
through both front [Flange F] and rear [Flange R] - there are timing marks on the
Flange Drive Gear and Flange R that have to be aligned. What happens usually the
screws on a black cylinder (from use) will loosen and allow migration/movement.
Check tightness on all the screws (Allen/Hex and Phillips) front and back of cylinder.

Have you tried to setup the B position on this drum? If you put there too large
number you may get T22 message. If this adjustment not useful you have to do the
mechanical timing on the main drive.

Riso RP 3700 indicates that the master is still on the drum halfway through the
master making process and shuts down. The master has been removed.
Shutting down the machine does not help. Rolling on a new master doesn't
work. The machine does burn a new master but it will not roll it on the drum
with the current error. I've been through the technical manuals and they say
simply remove the master.. But the master has been removed.

Unplug the machine and leave it unplugged for 2-3 minutes or longer. Then plug it
back it. This maneuver will generally reset it.
Remove the roller on which the master has been created. That will force the machine
to start a new cycle. Right now the machine has thinks its in between the cycle, so to
synchronize both, its been told to remove the master. Switch it off & then begin
again........so deep
Riso RP 3500 - Error Code T01-520. Drum will not release. Is there a manual
way to release drum. Solution to the error code is?
Make sure the drum is seated all the way in the machine and check the drum
connector on the drum side and machine side to see if there are any pins damaged.
The machine is not seeing the drum turning. You will have to go into service mode
and release the drum. Be careful when you pull it out that you don’t break the collars
on the clamp or projection bar. The service mode number is 556. To get in use the
print position buttons...< > and turn on while holding these down. try to re-seat fully
- and then give it a little wiggle while pulling - don’t be afraid. Just be careful not to
break the projection bar.
Yes it will cost near to 1 hour to solve this problem as the error is due to GRA. That
means the gear rolling assembly. that is cracked and that is the problem. The part will
cost you near to $33.and the service center engineer can only provide you the part as
they only have the part as this part is not available locally.
This will help .as many of my customers are facing the same problem and get it solved
like that only by calling the service person and getting the GRA replaced. its very
delicate and gets cracked very easily and then this same problem occurs. Please do rate
the solution.

I am getting a T01-520 message, it says to press reset key. When I do I get an
A01-222 error message master mis-feed rewind master roll & reset master in
place, did this but error message stays on. Turned off machine and pressed
start but sequence starts all over again. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Make sure the drum is seated all the way in the machine and check the drum
connector on the drum side and machine side to see if there are any pins damaged.

Error code for Riso rp 3700 t04-513 recovery has failed

I am having trouble getting my drums back into my machine. I removed one

and no cannot get any to go back in. They go almost completely back in but
stop at the very last bit. The machine just tells me to insert a print cylinder. I
read some past posts that seemed like they might be covering similar issues
but still couldn't get to the bottom of it and I wasn't sure if it was the exact
problem. I thought I would ask you all of your help.It seems like maybe the
male spindle in the back off the machine might be a just slightly off from 180
degrees. All the female openings on my drums seem to be straight up-and-
down. Is there a way to get the spindle in it's home position?
In the service mode run number 60 which is a 15 RPM Drum Rotation. While you're
running that keep an eye on the spindle in the back of the machine and make sure
when you stop the rotation that it is in the 90 degree position with the smaller pin in
the up position. If you cant get the drum rotation to work, in the past I've used a pair
of pliers to manually rotate the spindle and set the timing. Let me know if this works.
I am getting the Error Code "Wrong-Type Ink Cartridge Installed" on my
GR3750 when using my orange ink drum. This drum was working properly up
until last night, but today it is giving me the error message. I am using RISO
inks purchased from a RISO dealer. I have a brand new ink cartridge on hand
and tried swapping that out with the half-used cartridge but the error message
does not clear. Anyone have an issue like this before?
The ink cartridges have tabs on the end which actuates switches in the drum. Either
one of the tabs broke off or you have a bad switch in the drum. The switches can get
bent, try taping a small piece of paper at the end of the ink tab, effectively extending
the ink tab, if that works, the switch is bent.

I have a GR3770 that is giving me a problem I have not encountered before.
The unit prints between 8 and 12 times and then misfeeds, the misfeed has the
image too low on the page, I reset and start again, get the 8-12 prints and it
misfeeds again... I have tested the Paper detection sensor (Test Code 1) and it
passes.

TM #6 is the paper In sensor. Remove feed tire assy and test with a strip of paper
rapidly. If you can create a non acceptable beep sequence then the sensor is bad.
Check your feed tires and stripper pad for wear. Clean the tires with soap and water
for better grip .If the pad has a cup feel to it, its time to change it. Does it jam on all 5
speeds and with different sizes of paper? When it jams how is the reg on the page?

Don't worry about the scraper spring but there might be a double feed detection
switch in there that is causing your problem. When you remove the 4 screws for the
sep assy is there a 2 pin connector you have to disconnect? If there is place tighten the
screw all the way so that the actuator never comes close to the slide plate. Or clean
and score the 2 springs on the long silver guide roller that are in the 2nd paper feed
area. Have to remove the entire roller to do this. Or the stage cover or drum handle
detect switches are arcing and causing false jams.
With the image too low on the paper it makes me believe that the paper is not getting
under drum on time. Did you check the feed tires? Watch them while the machine is
running. When it jams see if one of them does not turn. On the hubs of these wheels
there one way bearings if you will. i have seen them get dirty or fail and cause the
problem that you are speaking of.
My GR3770 is producing banded prints when I print with the red color drum I
have. The company I bought it off rarely used the red drum, so I'm guessing it
has something to do with the fact that it has not been used in a while. I've tried
a load of test prints and printed 50 copies, but the banding is quite bed. The
only thing that got better with printing is the density of the areas that did print
ok, but there are still areas where absolutely no ink is being put down. I looked
at the master on the drum and the banding is clearly visible there
More than likely the ink has separated. More test prints will only produce more bad
copies. If you can, clean the ink from inside the drum and replace the ink tube with a
good one and then run test mode 101...going from memory here...but i think that is
the test mode for drum ink up. Take the master off the drum and clean the screen
with something (alcohol, simple green, etc).Make a master with full page fill. Leave an
2 inches of lead edge white area. Run a ream of 11x17 on slow speed. Did the banding

disappear? The ink in the drum has "dried up" and the dispersion tube add ink holes
are clogged. Take
ake the drum shell off and get all the old ink out.
Can someone help me about this? Only at the 120rpm make this problem.
when the machine stop or paper jam , machine give T01.537 code. But there is
no problem more slowly speeds.plz help about this
It is not good there is an encoder sensor on the main motor. At high speed encoder
is not keeping track. I would bet that you will need a new main motor. Not too pricey
but I would say at least $400 for a used one. Had a few machine do this. From the
manual TO1-537 the drum failed to stop at position B (overrun)
How do I adjust the feed height table on a GR 3750? Just installed new feed
tires and stripper pad, played with all settings (angle & pressure) and I'm still
getting feed problems with 20lb bond letter. I think the table is coming up to
high. Setting on cardstock
cardstock does help the problem, but not fix it entirely.
Thanks!
There is a screw to the left of the feed tire Also if you are lucky enough to have a feed
clutch that is the older one with the brown wire you could take this clutch apart and
clean it. It comes apart
art with just some e clips. Dirt builds up in her and will cause the
clutch to stick and cause paper jams Feed table height it behind the plastic cover for
the normal/cardstock lever. One silver screw on a metal slide plate. Feed table comes
up, hits feed tires, feed tire frame hits sensor actuator.
