Bugs World 6

PROGRAMME OF CLASSROOM
ACTIVITIES
Area: Foreign Languages (English)

Stage: Primary Education

Introduction

This programme of classroom activities for the title BUGS WORLD 6, has
been designed following the guidelines of the LOE and the Royal Decree
1513/2006, 7th December, according to which students will be provided
the appropriate tools to consolidate their personal development and their
well-being, acquiring the basic cultural skills related to oral expression and
comprehension, reading, writing and calculating, as well as developing
social skills, working and studying habits, the artistic sense, creativity and
affectivity.

The aim of this programme is to provide teachers with some guidance so


that they can deal with diversity in their English classroom, and adapt
their classes both to fast-finisher students and to those who find more
difficulties in learning a foreign language.

According to this, BUGS WORLD 6 is structured into eight story-based


units, each of which has been divided into seven lessons, and material for
three festivals, (Christmas and New Year, Valentine’s Day and April Fool’s
Day), plus a starter unit, what makes a total of 12 units.

The number of teaching hours in Bugs World 6 is designed to be flexible to


suit all teaching situations and can be extended by use of the extra
activities on the Photocopiable Resources CDs.

A suggested plan for teaching Bugs World 6 during the school year is:

Term 1: Units 1, 2, 3, Christmas and New Year


Term 2: Units 4, 5, 6, Valentine’s Day
Term 3: Units 7, 8, April Fool’s Day

This, of course, as we have already mentioned aims to be an orientation


for teachers so that they can adapt it to their particular circumstances.

The abbreviation code used is as follows:
