Remove/Install
Important instructions for performing repair,
body work and welding on vehicles with
airbags or belt tensioner units
1 Remove cover of front seat cushion
2 Pull control module with connection line (1)
out of the end face of the foam padding (2)
(see arrow)
3 Open foam padding (2) on the seat surface
and expose front passenger seat occupied
and child seat recognition sensor (B48)
4 Pull fastening hooks (see arrows) out of the
foam padding (2)
5 Pull out the control module with connection
line (1) between the core and seat surface
of the foam padding (2)
6 Remove front passenger seat occupied and
child seat recognition sensor (B48) from
seating surface of the foam support (2)
7 Install in the reverse order
8 Carry out diagnosis

Guide connection line through the slot in
the foam padding (2).
Pull out the fastening hooks slowly and
carefully so that the foam support (2) is not
damaged.
Installation: It is essential to ensure that
the film with the identification " TOP" (see
enlarged section) is inserted upwards.
