AHRC 2010: Procedures For Academic Staff

1) AHRC applications for students can be found on the Graduate School website:
A link to this page is also provided on the Graduate School homepage.

2) Applications should be submitted to the relevant academic department. As this

stage is dealt with at departmental level, there is no institutional deadline to
apply. I would suggest that each department sets its own deadline and puts this
information on their website. I will make clear on the Graduate School web
pages that interested applicant must refer to information on the relevant
department website.

3) Departments assess each application and then forward to the Graduate School
a nomination form for the successful applicant(s). Nomination forms must be
submitted to the Graduate School by 4 pm Tuesday 1st June. This deadline
coincides with the one for College scholarships. It is of course possible to
return nomination forms for the AHRC BGP scholarships at an earlier date, if
more suitable. However, at this stage I am not able to confirm when it is the
earliest that we can create a Je-S form, and therefore how much of June and
July the process will need.
