1.0 Introduction

Legal Journey is a programme organized by AIKOLFEST every year. This year,


AIKOLFEST ’10 will rebrand the event in which it will be held in two days. Legal Journey
this year will create a history by visiting Makmal Forensik, Polis Diraja Malaysia, known as
the place to carry out forensic investigations in all criminal cases. It is hope that this event may
assists the AIKOLians to gain as much knowledge and experiences.

Yes, it is rarely organized journey to forensic laboratory. However Legal Journey takes
this risk as we believe that this journey will give great impact to students. Moreover, this
journey also will be a memorable journey throughout the participants’ life.

2.0 Objectives

2.1 To inculcate the importance of searching evidence in correct ways.


2.2 To expose to students the modern equipment that used by the police in laboratory.
2.3 To expose students the method used by the police during forensic investigation.

It is hoped that the students will benefit from this programme and spread it among other
AIKOLians and other students as well.

APPENDIX A
Nature of Programme

‘Legal Journey’ is one of the exiting programme in which through this programme,
students are able to gain knowledge and experience unforgettable experiences as well.

Even at a single glance, this programme seems to be very attractive throughout its
nature. In addition, the organising committee had planned proper activities during the
programme to make sure all students get maximum benefit from this programme.

During this programme participants will be able to visit, Makmal Forensik, Polis Diraja
Malaysia where place to carry out forensic investigations in all criminal cases. The objective of
this programme is to expose to all AIKOLIANS how the forensic investigations are taking
place in our country. They would expose with the modern equipment that used by the police at
laboratory while handling this forensic investigation.

Besides, this journey also is organised to gain experience and knowledge as much as
possible. It is true that forensic investigation is the most important and difficult part in order to
gain the evidence. This programme enables the AIKOLIAN’s to discover and learn how this
investigation is doing by the police. The police would guide and teach them the right method in
searching evidence. It would be useful for the students as preparation becoming future good
lawyer.

Lastly, it is hoped that students will attain a great benefit throughout this programme.
