CARTOMANCY

About me: I was an astrologer long before using the cards. I worked very hard learning cartomancy. When I made my first deck in collage, I still did not realize the astrological significance. I tried using each card number with its house reference. For example, the fourth house is cancer, home, family etc. so if I drew a 4 I tried to equate that. so good so far but it still wasn't the right path. I even made a huge wooden 12 house circle to lay the cards on. Not working. Gave it to my son to use for target practice.. I went back to researching on the web. I found a tremendous amount of resources. Kristans being the first of course. I couple cartomancy with tarot, meanings. I use Joanne Bunnings, Robert Camp, Ryder Watie. Shoot, I even bought the Sexual Key to the Tarot by Theodor Laurence. Our library has a book that shows each card and I mean every card in each position in the Celtic Cross. The meaning from its own position. All of these books speak of astrological signs etc, but it still wasn't exactly what I wanted. I have only the books now from my astrology days, the rest were left behind when we moved due to space. the three that I have with me are written by Sakoian & Acjer, "The Astrologers Handbook", "The Astrology of Human Relationships" and "Predictive Astrology" Remember, there are twelve houses in the zodiac. Each house covering a different aspect of our lives. Each house is ruled by a different planet. Furthermore, each planet has its own idiosyncrasies its own mood or personality. Each card in its own respect is ruled by a certain house, governed by its own planet. I rarely read a card reversed, but I am fully aware there is a dark side to each one. Here is where I went off on a tangent or veered from the norm. The "dark side" of each card even not reversed. I get lots of letters on the ask me and the all experts, at times I have to break from it, then I come back. Every letter has its own personality, it's own feel. When doing a reading, I would get the sense of the person I was reading for. The manner that one would speak to me, or the words written in the letter, regardless of sex. Some are very abrupt, some are demanding, some are downright rude. Many are sad and others make the sun shine. My first impression is what I go with. I never try to "make nice". I only have to work with online what they say to me, nothing else only my gut feeling. So many questions, so many people, so many attitudes can make your head spin. A few months ago, I bought a little book showing a gazillion card layouts. I said, "Wow!" bought it. The meanings and descriptions were short and almost worthless as far as I was concerned. Remember by now I have a fairly good size library on cartomancy, astrology

and tarot. I have only one book on numerology. I do, however, have, "the book" that I wrote when doing astrology. This little book of card layouts had one little thing that I had never seen in any other book or we site or resource. When Kristan told me of www.askme.com and Elizabeth told me of www.allexperts.com, each questioner had something different they wanted to know, i.e. money, love, health, work and some general. I remembered that book! It gave a short description of each card, followed by a general overall "in a reading". Next it gave work, romance, finances, health, spirituality and ending with an empowerment. Stepping back to the planets and houses, I felt there had to be a way. I did not hesitate to capitalize on this idea. (I do own the book, why else write it and sell it) No money, I have never been paid a nickel for a reading. Mine go like this. 1. feel of the questioner (attitude) 2. sense of the question (love, money, life, etc) 3. I shuffle, generally seven times (my own birth date is 7-27-47) 4. cut into three piles restacking into one, middle to the right, then on to the top of the far left, making a single deck of cards again. 5. I draw three cards, very seldom more. On occasion, one falls out, I do attach special significance to it. If 52 fall out, I don't. 6. The three cards are laid down from the left to the right, suggesting past, present and future. The cards seldom speak to me that way. Something zings in on me because I have a definite sense of the questioner and the quest. Damn if sometimes the cards have nothing to say as far as the original question. I really try to make the connection between the layout and the need. I don't care to use FAX. I rather answer each on individual need. The same cards for two different people rarely mean the same thing. I started to copy and paste my meanings for each card under its heading such as relationship, money, health and of course general. The idea from that book. I copy and paste or write the cards meaning. (only three cards) then I look back to the question, the feel of the person, the cards and the meanings I have put there. I also am using still another deck that I made, these showing, the zodiac house, the ruler and an ink sketch of the essence of the card and a key word. I use the numbers, alone, sometimes added together. I never know a head of time what I will use. There is no preset words for me to say. All the cards become one message and I say it. Once the cards numbers are added they become only one message and I speak only

what I feel, good or bad. I have had some pretty bad ratings from some that were unhappy with the read. That can smart. Well, hell, it should not affect me in any way. Yet, it does. I am literally wiped out when I finish. It just seems sometimes, a lot is wanted for nothing. Time, focus, skill, knowledge, they want it all, they want it now at no cost to themselves. Many times reading online is truly a thankless endeavor. But, But, but, there are those that are truly accepting and a few that seem to understand what is given so freely by the reader. I continue to read, not as much right now as before, I burn hot and cold. Why? You might ask? Because I feel that what I do might give someone hope, simple hope where before there was none. Maybe spark that fire that might burn and give them warmth. As a rule I find that people are inherently good and really ask from the heart. I feel they are here asking from a real need to know. Something is hurting inside and they are slashing at the darkness, trying to find a way out or to see the light. If all were perfect, they would not be asking. Then you get a letter like this......... Anonymous: "Tell me about my love life" thats it, no greeting, no good by, nothing personal. How hard it is to not write back and say, "I dont' know a thing" or just simply "nothing". I dont' do that. I lay the cards out for them exactly the way I would for one that writes three paragraphs. Occasionally, a short unidentified letter with no personal information can indicate that one has so much hurt or obstacles or so little self esteem that is a major undertaking to even say so little. Any words at all that they send are a hardship or real effort. So always, always do the best you can and individualize each reading, for the least as well as the most. Code Of Ethics
Each person learns as they read for others that one must initiate a certain code of behavior. I call this a "Code Of Ethics" This is an honorable code that you will use each time you lay your hand on a deck of cards to read for anyone. It is important that one always keeps balance and perspective in dealing with others. This also applies to my own life. So often it is hard to take heed of one's own advice. Ace I will keep in mind that when the ace is drawn, it shows new beginnings in each facet of ones life. I will never promise all new things are wonderful and good. I will try to always be realistic. Aces are new beginnings. Two I will always show there are two sides to every issue. There is an up side and a down side. Twos are partnerships. I will always try to weigh and balance my answer. I will not gloss over the down side, although I will not be deliberately unkind. Three When I do not the answer to a question or understand what the card is trying to tell me, I will not hesitate to say so and proceed to someone elses work to gain knowledge. Threes are growth and including a third. Four I will work towards structure in anything I do. I will keep in mind, that typically, the walls one builds can be breached with the right attitude. I will remember these are often times built and maintained for self preservation and can be very elaborate Five I will acknowledge hardship and loss and knowing that I too feel these things and will not strike out in anger, hurting others when I hurt. This would be devastating to the fragile ego of the person one happens to be reading for. Six I will let go of the things that cause me pain, working to move ahead, rather then living in the past. I will reminisce and let go. I will also equate the situation presented by the card to some thing that might have taken place in my own life, there fore giving myself a better understanding of the emotions or feelings that are within the situation that stands before me. Seven I will look inside myself, seeing clearly and act upon what I see to grow and improve. I will face what ever obstacles are before me, asserting my own will. Eight I will lead others and I will teach. I will work to be a stable influence and share my knowledge, giving as well as taking. I will know where I am going before I get there. I will strive to be a reliable source, structuring all that I do to give purpose. I will be a tower within myself. Nine I will know when situations in my life are ending. I will understand that closure is the only way to relinquish the past and prepare for the new things that will happen if I continue the path I am following. I know that the death of a situation can sometimes only make way for the new. 4

Ten I will be open to new things that present themselves to me. I will use what I have learned in the past to reach a higher plateau with in myself. I will improve on what I know, researching and learning all that I can. My education will be unending. I will be open to any opinion that appears realistic. Jack I will allow flexibility in my life. I will not be as rigid as I once was and will keep myself open to a better way, even if it makes me start at the bottom. I will smile as though a child and start over, knowing that each thing I do is a learning experience. Queen I will hold carefully to correct ways and ideals, not allowing change where it may cause harm or disruption with others. I will work to be a mother figure and to be compassionate when needed. I will gather the wounded to my bosom and give solace when justified. King I will stand strong and firm. When needed to stand in judgment of others, I will be fair and impartial. I will be wise and give advice, freely, only if asked. Ask me your questions and I will give you honest answers. I will look at all angles and give my opinion. If you do not heed my advice, then I will no longer be involved.

The Four Suits

Clubs: The suit of clubs speaks to us of what kind of determination we use to achieve our goals. How much energy we use to get the things we want. It shows what obstacles stand in our way or what obstructions hold us back. The anger that runs thru us and how one might deal with it. Clubs speak of great energy, of speed. They are a powerful suit dealing with ones career and the goals one sets sight on. When clubs come into play, one must move quickly and not rest on your laurels. When the opportunity is there, take advantage of it. Sometimes a club is simply a warning to slow down and not expend so much energy. The suit of clubs are ruled by Aries, Leo and Sagittarius. Dealing with new beginnings, ones pleasure and ego and how we gain knowledge and understanding. Lack of the element fire in any given lay out indicates one may be missing that spark of enthusiasm for life. They simply cannot see what can be. There is no creative inspiration. Hearts: The suit of hearts gives us a glimpse of what is in your heart. How you involved yourself in your relationships and how deeply you feel. It speaks of the tears that might fall, your hopes and dreams and how you might celebrate. They indicate how you deeply you feel, what kind of energy you use or how you focus. They can give you insight on how to resolve past conflict and anger. Sometimes hearts will tell of your vulnerabilities. Hearts are ruled by Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces. They speak of home and family, sexual needs, death and intuition. Listen closely when hearts are drawn. Things move smoothly and they speak of the summer season. Let the hearts embrace you with a smooth, gentle caress. Lack of water with in a layout indicates that one talks about what others feel, yet, they somehow miss the human element. They lack the ability to blend with another person, which is the basis of love. Spades: The suit of spades reach deep into the dark recesses of your mind and show what things block you or hold you up. The things that prevent you from moving on to achievement. It tells of habits and patterns that can only hurt you. The houses of the zodiac that rule are Gemini, Libra and Aquarius. These in turn are governed by Mercury, Venus and Uranus, in that order. They speak of things you need to let go of. Sometimes clubs will lead you down a path to make changes in areas of your life that you need to set aside. Spades speak of hard decisions, deep worry and deception. These are a very hard suit of cards to deal with because it is not always easy to look for the bright side. Keep in mind, for every thing that might seem bad or hurtful, occasionally it is only a sign that you need to let go or make certain changes.

Lack of air in a layout gives an indication of having a hard time getting their thoughts across to others. One can't seem to sort out the facts and tend to jump to conclusions. Thus ones emotions, impulses or excessive practicality can create an imbalance in their beliefs. Diamonds: The suit of diamonds touch ones securities either in emotions or financial areas of ones life. They show what gives you pleasure and the things you want. The way you will go after things. What will give you comfort. The methods used to accumulate objects or things even people. Sometimes diamonds will speak of your fear of loosing all that you have and what you will do to keep it. This suit deals with possessions, yours, what you might have lost or still hope to gain. These cards show you the way. Diamonds are ruled by Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn, which in turn are governed by Venus, Mercury and Saturn. When diamonds come into the layout, consider, ones values, work and health issues and ambitions and the responsibility that goes with them. Lack of earth in any lay out oftentimes shows an immoderacy with money and have little ambition or desire to go after things in life. It seems one has no idea how what they do now can affect life later. Shows a definate lack of practicality.

The Numbers
One's are an indication of new beginnings, a single unit and is masculine in nature. A one is shaped like a pointer, like a pencil, a finger or even a penis. It is an action number, ready to go. They show a time of forging ahead into the unknown. Brand new beginnings, where one has not gone before. Two's show duality. The one has taken on a mate. It is passive. The one is no longer alone. Often , it is a time of waiting and a time of learning patience. The two can indicate a new love, a new job or a new place to live. It is one of a meeting of two like minded individuals. Three's show growth and taking on another partner. Threes are masculine. They can indicate the happiness of the two's has turned to boredom and has developed a wandering eye. This number deals with communication and short trips and journeys. It can be a small group of friends or people involved in the same situation as you. Four's indicate structure, stability or little boxes. They are passive. The fours can show a time of restriction and inability to move ahead. They are walls that one might surround oneself 7

with. It might be walls of people, of money, of possessions or simply the walls of your home. They show retreat from others and can show self discipline, hard work and burdens that one assumes. Five's indicate a need to break out, a need for freedom. The little boxes of the fours have closed in on one and you fight to get out of it. This can indicate loss and hardship, impulsive actions that hurt others or that hurt yourself. Its a time of quarrels and tears. Leaving what is comfortable and stepping into the unknown. Six's represent movement from the past into the future. Letting go of the things in the five situation that have caused pain or hardship. They are a feminine number, one of rest and re cooperation. A time to kick back and watch. A time to think of the past and then let go of it. Seven's are masculine in gender and are one of learning of self. To grow from with in, looking over what has been done and how one might improve on it. It can indicate anger or fighting against what has gone before, facing obstacles. They are assertive, indicating your need to act on your own options. Eight's are indication of power, leadership and stability. A lot of energy is expended with this feminine suit towards seeing what you want and going after it. This a number of material acquisition and leadership. This is a number of solid foundations and good background. Knowing where you are headed. Nine's show a need to close or finish the past. A need to let go, turn away and move on. It's not unlike cleaning out your closet with extreme prejudice, with the thought in mind that you are going shopping for something new and are making room for it. Holding on to what is needed for the future. It is a number of closure. Ten's show the end of something but taking from it valuable knowledge needed for the future. It is a number of new beginnings, such as the ace, although not brand new. Basing the future on what you have learned in the past to be successful in the future, weather it is relationships, career or any new endeavor. Jack's indicate mutability. They are immature and changeable. The jack can be a younger person in your life or one that is very young at heart. When they are doing or involved in something, they believe it for the moment, although, can change they views or feelings in the blink of any eye. The power of the jack can be destructive as well as good. Jack's are the number 11 which becomes a 2 having duality.

Queen's are fixed in their unchanging ways. They are there for you when they are needed. They can indicate another woman in the situation. They can be compassionate and loving, careful of another's feelings. On the down side, their anger can be swift and painful. They are the mother of all cards. The queen indicates a deep love of others and when this love is rejected, it can be deceitful or vindictive. The queen is number 12 which becomes the 3 indicating change. King's are the strength and power of any situation. They are cardinal in nature. They are the judges, the advisors the aide that you turn to for physical needs. The sit in judgment and give advice, which if unheeded, will not be forth coming again. One would do well to follow the words of the King. The king is the number 13 which becomes the number 4, indicating structure and stability. Clubs are a suit of tremendous energy. When you think of a forest fire, burning all in it's path, that might be club energy. It is fast paced, swift, and forward moving. It can be just as destructive as it is constructive. That depends on how you channel the energy of the clubs. This suit often times deals with one's career and or goals. It shows what kind of determination you have to get where you want to go and how far you get. This suit, is one of positives, in that you might say, "the cup is half full" rather then ":the cup is half empty" This is a vibrant suit, full of knowledge, learning, beginnings, It determines ones beliefs and how we express ourselves. It shows how we apply what we know and how we grow with in our field of endeavor. Lets Make a Collage: 1. The first step is to cut out a fairly heavy card board template of a size for making the cards. I made mine 2.75 X 4.75. Cut out the inside for cutting out pictures for the background. 2. The second step is to gather lots of magazines and cut out many pictures. Different kinds, different feelings, props, anything that catches your eye. Some say have a basket full, the choice is of course yours. I cut many out and then I stop and make a card that is full of feeling and later go back to cutting. 3. To make your first card, it is easiest to use receipt cards. They are about the correct size for ending or you can cut them to 2.75 X 4.75 before you begin pasteing. I did. 4. Carefully cut out the figures or props, doing it as neatly as you can and overlay them, pasteing each where it feels right for you to do it. A special note here. Please do not hurry while making the cards. If you do your true feelings will not show as good as if you took your time and did as your heart told you to do. 5. Once a card is complete, it is time to scan it in on your computer. Immediately resize it to 2.75 X 4.75. I next buttonized the edge. You should do what ever works for you. I rather enjoy my way. 6. Add your clip art of hearts, clubs, spades or diamonds and also place the number or pip or face name on it. 7. For these that are posted on the e-group, I also placed its meaning on the face of it. Maybe not always a good idea but this is my card, so will do as it pleases me and I certainly hope you do what pleases you. 8. Save the card as a gif or jpep. Close it and reopen it. This is the trick to make it correct size in the save. Reopen the card file now and resize it. It will be way too big. Simply resize it to 2.75 X 4.75 and resave it under the same file name. I know of no other way for it to keep the correct size in save. I mean you have to resize it and save it a second time 9. Look at your card, or print it out. Enjoy it and move on to the next. When I look at the Ace of Clubs , I feel pleasure for the man or woman. The fire gives a wonderful warm feeling inside me. Its the end of a situation, study and research. The girl covers her mouth with praying hands in hopes he doesn't discover her secret. Something she is holding back. The books show that if he pays attention, he will soon learn of it. All the hints are there. For now both are content to be learning of each other. The fire can be destructive, it is a place to throw out the past and be rid of it. Both have their eyes closed and neither are looking very deeply into the future. This card is fleeting. Only for tonight. His hand is fisted and I think he would like to hang onto this moment. With her past secrets, she is uncertain, although with hands together, she has hopes it can move foreword. The driving force of this card is the girl. Her eyes are closed and she is not looking back. Her praying hands tell of new risks and gambles she is embarking on. The books encourage her to seek new knowledge. The fire burning brightly in the background sheds light for the future. Ace Of Hearts
Looking at the Ace of Hearts, I see gentle, tender feelings. She seems focused on him and he is devoted to her. Her eyes are dark and beautiful as she gazes towards him. The handle on the basket almost seems a rope that binds them together. His head is cocked to the side as he listens intently, appearing to read her very thoughts. The flowers in the basket are spilling out, indicating the depth of feelings between them. The shades and colors of the roses speak to me of the many levels of emotion flowing. There is a definite 32

connection of the heart on this card. He is a good man, deeply caring and she is kind and sensitive to his needs. It appears also that he is looking over her shoulder, perhaps watching out for her. Listening closely. These people are definitely in touch with each other. I like to feel this is a new situation. Of course, being an ace, it signifies new beginnings in matters close to the heart. With this couple, I believe it was love at first sight and they will soon consummate their sensuality, which in turn will only enhance what they feel at this moment. I am fully aware that this passion may be about a book or your work or even a new puppy. It does not necessarily have to be between two people. I guess in the end, one can only speak of great devotion, deep caring and a natural instinct for the objet of your interest. Indicates to me that you have left something behind or someone, ready to move on and begin again. Shadows of the past are but a memory. This card makes me think of the book "A Time To Kill" by Robert Grishm. In this story, there was a shocking event, a horrible beginning. There is deceit, pain and unbelievable heart break. The destruction of innocence. A man took the law into his own hands, he make a hard decision and it was painful, bringing pain to many aroundhim. In the enactment of this deed, others were hurt by it, lives were changed. In the end, it took courage to overcome the unfairness of circumstance, but justice prevailed. Against all odds, this test of human frailty was over come. It took tremendous courage to resolve, for all that were involved in it and there were many. Its a time of clarity, disposing of useless things and moving on, a new beginning, leaving the past, leaving a way of life with crushing heart break. You know, you can never turn back the hands of time, can never make the past as though it never happened. The only thing you can do is start over. You become a better person as you learn the lessons in life. Things are not always as you want them to be, but there is justice and it will prevail. You can never forget what transpired, the trouble the brought you to this point,the lies or deceit, the pain. You become a better person for it. The things you have suffered have brought you to this point of no return. The past is past and you make do, starting over. You realize now that there is nothing, there is no challenge that you cannot over come. There may be those around you that wish to hide the truth. They will deceive and lie to meet their own agenda. Perhaps this person is you? There are many shadows here,

speaking of secrets and deception. The girl is looking away, avoiding the facts, the people Is there something you know that should be told? Are you hiding some truth that could help another? Are you deliberately hurting those around you? Do you have your own agenda?

Ace Of Diamonds
When I see the Ace of diamonds come up in a layout, it gives me a sense of enrichment or being centered. He seems pleased to be giving her a tangible token of his affection, a gift, given from his heart. I feel it has been her dream, that this would happen. This is what she has been working towards. Her hand and wrist are over her mouth, telling me she may not be aware yet of what he is giving her. Her eyes are closed showing she doesn't see it yet. All she needs to do is open her eyes, look around to be receptive of what is hers for the taking. She is being applauded for a job well done, or maybe it is only a child's drawing, colored "just so" to say thank you. I feel (and see) a sweetness here. A gift tied with a pretty bow. It's something given to you, showing how much it means, the good things you have done. Because it is an ace, it speaks of new beginnings. You are entering a new phase of richness, either financial or emotionally. The darkness of the background, hints at solidity, being grounded and rising to new levels of responsibility. This makes me wonder if this acclamation is a false reward. Is it an enticement to perform better? A bribe to do something? Is she taking credit for deeds she did not do? Her eyes being closed might mean, she is hiding something and her mouth is covered, letting you know she will not speak of it unless it suits her agenda. The clashing colors, the red, the yellow and the purple can signify turmoil or a demotion, a loss of rewards or the loss of something you have worked for. Knowing each has an ear exposed indicates to me that there is less than total knowledge at work here and all is not known for success in a certain endeavor.

Two Of Clubs
This card gives me an overall sense of indecision. The woman is behind the drapes, hidden and watching. She has discovered a secret or is keeping one. In the middle ground, she looking to the right, telling me there is no wrong answer even though there is not a hint of pleasure in her expression. The man and the woman are dressed in black, indicating the relationship is not open to others. It is a card of discovery. The person who has the knowledge also has the power over the situation, having the upper hand, so to speak. A decision to make that can hurt another if it is made with little thought. She sees it and is looking away. This card asks, will you step forward, making the move or just sit tight? Will you come out into the open, make the mover or resign yourself to and indifferent life? One that leaves you walled in? There is a decision you need to make and you know its the right one. The only question is,when? How long will you wait? Until the spring of the year? No, the clubs stand for days, and fire, fire burns quickly, sometimes leaving devastation in its wake. Often, it simply clears the ground, making way for new growth. You have

tremendous personal power, use it wisely. Break away from the hidden dreams that only you can turn into reality.

Two Of Hearts
The two of hearts gives a sense of love, making a connection, that certain spark, ignited when your eyes meet from across the room. Two people coming together, your heart soars and its love at first sight. You are no longer alone, cupids arrow has hit. This is the 'one'. The light behind the cupid is reflected in his eyes, the gemstones sparkle, rich in color, shimmering with emotion. Its worth more than anything you have previously experienced. You have found your soul mate and your soul mate has found you. Two angles hovering show love and devotion. You are complete, whole, together, the two of you can experience love as never before. All of the figures are naked, indicating you have nothing hidden, you have bared your very soul to him in one look and his feelings are reflected back to you in an identical manner. The gemstones are circled by more jewels, indicating and unending, richer love, lasting into forever. Angles watching over you, from above. What can you do to make order out of the chaos around you? Are you over looking a very important factor and if you are, what do you stand to loose? Is being all things to everyone more important than focusing on the one that can make you shine? Does it really matter to you to look so good to everyone? Or would it not be better to do the correct thing and look good to the one, the one being your self or your partner? Three Of Clubs The three of clubs is a card of reaching new heights and pushing limits. You look to the tower, slightly leaning in the back ground, and can feel its power and strength. One who knows where he is going and can easily lead others along this path. This card indicates travel, going to far off places, following a dream and turning it into reality. He looks to be a scholar, one that has studied, gaining a wealth of knowledge to back up his passions. The couple in the foreground are racing forward and neither appear to be looking back. The colors are warm, enveloping you in its energy. You are secure in your quest for your dreams. You have researched your subject, knowing all of the pros and cons, forging ahead. His hands are reaching out to the flowers, arranging them or removing them? My feelings are of surprise, maybe one has been over indulging, hence the beverage looming on the left. This card shows me, its a time to start over, maybe he is simply warming his hands over the flame. A rock or a stone is set at the side of the table, showing a milestone has been reached. There seems to be a lot of clutter in this picture, indicating a sense of self expression. When one is creating, one gathers all that is needed, ready at hand, freeing the area of anything that interferes, creating chaos. From this comes beauty. Is this a sign that you need to rest? All that you have done, is there before you. Is there more that you need for fulfillment? You need to think about commitment. What goals have you set? Will start a new job, or reach a higher level on your present one? A new relationship? Are you going to relocate, or simply step sideways into a different position perhaps not better, but a change? Showing establishment and values. The hands are clasped tightly showing that you are hanging on. The woman's eyes are deep with shadow, telling me that you are the one having a need to be more established in your character. Or does it mean you need to apply your very strong feelings to life? The flag shows security, financial stability but your clinging to something, having difficulty letting go. It may be a person or a situation that requires a decision on your part. The woman is looking towards the flag with her hands tightly closed. Are you guilty of greed? One of the seven deadly sins? Do you insist that things be done your way? You need to realize that one owns things, not people. What obstacles stand in your way? What change is needed that you are fighting? The issues here are of ownership and your need to let go. Is it so important to maintain the status quo? Can you not allow the change that might benefit another? Where is the opposition coming from? You or another? I think it is you, you are jealous of what you have and do not want to share. Sometimes if you let go of something, it will grow, expand, bloom and even return better than before. A change is needed here and total control is not possible. Five Of Clubs This card indicates power, strength and dominance. There is a lot of blockage in this picture, a great deal of anger. This card indicates the differences in each other. He is the autumn to the spring of her youth. The road depicts the path she will travel as he has before her. A time of separation, of moving on, growing, developing. To be all she can be. One must take chances, a risk, as it were, to do something out of the ordinary. There is news coming, either by post or telephone or messenger. Its something that has been awaited for some time and will be well received. The line in the road is a double one, indicating one cannot pass by something in their hurry to move ahead. Do not skip stages in haste to get ahead. To be patient, gain knowledge and move forward one step at a time. Sometimes separations can bring sadness at leaving behind the safe comfortable way that things were. She cocks her head to the side as if understanding what lies before her. It appears that he has turned his back on her, but he truly hasn't. He only waits for word of her success. Five Of Spades Both darkness and light blend on this five of spades. The darkness in the background of the woman shadowed. She is the past, almost larger than life. He is on a horse, speeding into the future. She does not go with him, he is alone. She fears leaving the safety of the past, her shadows a comfort, unable to step out as he, to face the unknown. The clock on the right is bright, fairly glowing, and indication that now is the time to move. To go ahead, to boldly leave behind what you cannot change. To reach out as he 'right' arm is to the future. The light is glowing through the horse's mane as he carries his rider, freely, like the wind. I feel excitement here. I can almost hear the hoof beats thundering past, the fast beat of his heart. "Come ride with me" he has not yet left her, I can visualize his left hand reaching out to her, to blend the past into the future. The clock is ticking, there is no time to waste. What holds you back? Do not fear what is before you. Let go and be free of the obstacles or walls that you hide behind. You cannot see the far side of the clock nor the horse's nose, suggesting there is no limit on how far or fast you can go. Five Of Diamonds The very colors of this five are deceptive. Everything looks so calm, so restful, so easy. The soft glow of the candle gives off little heat and creates many shadows. The mirror does not seem to reflect. There is no image bouncing from it, only a gentle change in color. The wall is made of wood, the table, heavy, a round pot, all giving a sense of isolation. He leans to the right, almost hidden. This card feels like one is waiting for something to happen. What has happened or do you expect to happen in your life to make you so still? So quiet? There is not a glimmer of a smile on his face, his brow is furrowed, as though wondering what can be wrong. It looks like he is down, although the flame is up, a clear indication of ups and downs, perhaps in finances or emotions. You could ask yourself, what has causes this crisis, this feeling of dismay? Or this sense of isolation? Maybe if you stood up and let yourself become aware of the gentle glow beside you, you

could drew comfort from it. Instead of seeing the shadows lurking from the walls, as a barrier you could feel its texture, the strength in it very fiber, trace your fingers over the pattern it forms and see there is beauty all around you, if you would only see it. These feelings of insecurity will pass and your brow will smooth as you realize the goodness can be found and is easily with in your grasp. Six Of Clubs The six of clubs is all about winning, overcoming obstacles. Its about outright confrontations, leveling off with serious thought and tremendous will power. It indicates that now is the time to come to terms with what gives you pain in your life. Once this takes place, everyone wins. This is indicative of good overcoming evil. One must work through hard ships and lay down your arms. The man in the middle ground has his eyes closed as does the one in the foreground. My feelings are, if you look for bad you will find it. One only needs to only look beyond the "scope" of destruction in the outer world and see deep inside of you. What do you see? Do you have a cross to bare? With this card, the only drawback is not to let this feeling go to your head. Do not put yourself above others. Perhaps this card is asking you to look at yourself and see if you are feeling a little above your fellow man. Pride goes before a fall. Do not allow this path to bring your down. Level out your intellectual patterns before fate levels you. Six Of Hearts With in this card is a simple good feeling with others. The focus seems to be on pleasure with friends. The candle burning brightly brings gentle warmth and good will. Food and drink and conversation among people you enjoy. One listens closely to another, therefore getting to know more than is readily apparent to the masses. Focusing on others. The indication with this card is there may be someone in your life that could use a helping hand. You might reach out and give of your time, or some small effort. It does not have to be anything big. It may mean little to any other than the one you assist. In time down the road, you may not remember this deed. The one you helped will not forget. That person in turn might very well reach out to help another. In this manner, the life you touch can many in an ever widening circle. The softly draping velvet envelops you in its splendor. The cat looks off into the future. To serve another, what one gives means letting go weather it is a glass of wine or a plate of food. It leaves one hand into another. You let go a moment of your life. It's a sharing moment. The goodness that you give will come back to touch you. The light springs forth to brighten your day. This card is letting go so that you can focus on the needs of others Six Of Spades The girl pictured on this card is one we all remember well. She was rich, talented, beautiful and very famous, to the world. There was a darker side to her story. Deception, cunning and deceit ended her life badly. She left this world alone. In the background are

the stones used in many settings for druids. Of ceremonies taking place on a moon lit night. The coin at the top indicates wealth and having it all. There is even a handsome man kneeling at her feet. The feeling here is that none of it matters. One can have all that the world has to offer and in the end it means nothing. There is nothing really wrong, but, you don't see or care to see all that you have. Remember, lies lead to worry and worry may lead to more deceit. It is an unending circle. This card is speaking to you, letting you know, you need to break from this path. It can only lead to your own destruction. Perhaps this card is only reminding you of your past, encouraging you to learn from it and use the lesson well. Or is it showing you that so much can be lost by slipping around, lying and needing to remember so much to cover your tracts so that you will not be found out. What truth is it, that you hide? Who is being hurt by your actions? What steps can you take to correct the damage already done? Take care least you wreak havoc in the lives of those around you. Six Of Diamonds This is a card of gifts. Of giving a little something to another. You have a lot to give, yet you hold back, sharing very little of what you have. The man behind the door seems to have his hand closed, keeping what is his. The bow indicates giving, yet the door stands between he and it. The cat gives a feeling of independence, as if to say, "So what?" The little I give means nothing to me. I can give or not give. What I have is mine to dole out as I see fit. I am nothing if not superior to those beneath me. Do you ever give straight from the heart? I think not at this point. What you give is 'chump change' You drop a few pennies in someone's cup and feel superior for having done so. It means little to you. You might give to another, but there are always strings attached. You are only giving with the understanding you will get a return on your investment. Do you do this in relationships? Do you with hold love as a form of punishment? The man looks sad to me. I'm afraid he is behind the door, closing himself off. The cat obviously has its back turned, indicating little or no emotion. Therefore, what good is the gift if it means so little? Indeed, you will get the gift, it appears you do get most of what you want, caring little for the emotional well being in your relationships. This card encourages you to give freely. So many times, it's better to give than to receive. Think about it. Seven Of Clubs The seven of clubs is all about winning, regardless of the cost. The adults in the background look so sad. Not a hint of a smile on any face. the boy in the picture has a look of dismay or "reasonableness". the feeling here is about having goals and setting them. Reaching for your star without thought of the cost for self satisfaction. Its odd, this card makes me think of Timothy McVae and the damage he did in the bombing of Oklahoma City, the government building. He set a goal through anger and revenge. He had the assistance of one man. He felt good about what he set out to do and was proud of his "success". The fact that his goal destroyed so many lives in an ever widening circle did not touch his conscious. He was successful. the plan was to wreak havoc and revenge, get caught and then have the law put him away. He won, he was victorious but at what cost to America. It was his god given right to be different. A right everyone has. Although

at this point I must say, your right to be different does not sanction antisocial behavior. Your plans to win, overcoming all odds, goes against the law, the people, the very basic human right to live. How can you let your needs become so great as to destroy others. The darkness indicated in this card, is evil and destructive, even if your goal is to take back something or someone that once belonged to you. You need to rethink your goals. Or were you the victim or survivor of such an attack? Seven Of Hearts The seven of hearts is a card of unabashed joy. A feeling of having so many choices, so many riches. Is it real? Are you deceiving yourself? The woman laughs so hard that her eyes are closed. Its a house of mirrors, of self delusion. The wooden box has one draw silghtly cracked open. The pitcher has the price tag still on it. Does this mean it isnt really yours? The string of beads reflects in the mirror, appearing as if there are twice as many as there are in reality. Take a moment and see that much is not as it appears. Exactly how much of what you see is real? Do you really have twice as much as you see? or is this only what you choose to see? There are many colors in the picture. Very warm yellows, warm browns, off white. The over all feeling here is contentment at first glance.. If you take a deeper look, you will plainly see, much of it is but an illusion. You can open your eyes and ask, if all this clutter is needed? Do you really need all of these things to bring you pleasure? What is stored in the graceful black vase? Do you want all of this just because of greed or because you can? Perhaps if you clear the decks, opening up a space, and let your dreams become real, in and orderly fashion, instead of this chaos, lay aside your rose colored glasses and view your situation as it really is. Then and only then can your true creativity come to the forground. Seven Of Spades The seven of spades is a card ofdeception. You want something this is not yours to have. A hand reaching out from the picture, taking something, slipping in, helping ones self. No one would expect this from a picture. The warm glow of the lamp indicates trust, havning no idea that one is being used, simply as a means to an end. Are you using the affection of someone, who cares deeply for you as a stepping stone? One step higher on the ladder of personal gratification? The overall look of this card is one of privacy, a place to be alone, a safe place. Yet, it is not after all. A book being lifted, taken by someone you care enough about to have pictured on the wall. The book could be your diary or journal, your most private thoughts. Or? Have you put yourself in a position or put someone else in a position of being and open book? Haveing what is known used against you or them? With the seven of spades, there is a need to be wary of being used or using another. Things are not as they appear. What must be done? To run away is not the anser. You need to be honest about your situation or relationship. Take time to fix it, leaving or walking away will only make it worse. this card is one of a study. It may only mean you need to find a quiet place, a place of peace. Use this place constructively, to stop being dishonest with yourself and others. Only thne will you find true happiness. Seven Of Diamonds

Initially, the seven of diamonds is one of peace and beauty. the water gently lapping at the edge of the sand. the dogs coat, glowing in the warmth of the suns rays. the woman leans back as she plays with the dog. Many times one has heard that lifes a beach, but its not meant in this context here. When you look at the beach, it seems so smooth and serene. In actuality, it is not. Its teaming with motion, life and things as yet unknow. Will the dog turn on her? Will she run? Will she walk? Will she step into the water? It looks fairly shallow and safe for a short distance. What of the dark place a little further out? what might be lurking there? Nothing? Everything? Or is it simply deeper water, with nothing there to nibble at your toes? this card is about coming to a decision. You are on a certain path and have come to a crossroad in your life. What direction will you take? there are waves a little higher in the distance, indicating stronger and unknown forces ahead. Be hind you is security or solid ground, although it is made of sand which is not always stable. Do you step out into the unknown? This is not an easy dicision for you. Making major changes is sometimes like shifting sand. You never know howit will end up looking. take the chance, trust in yourself to do well. Let go of the familiar and move ahead. Take that first step and be unafraid. Take pleasure in the simply beauty of Lifes a beach.. Eight Of Clubs The eight of clubs gives a sense of haste. Things are happening, there is no stillness seen here. Even the soldier barring the way of the gladiator is tensed, ready to spring into action. This card is a card of changes. Sudden changes, breaking away from what is safe and easy. Each face is showing extreme emotion. One can almost hear them scream but cannot know if it is in pleasure or anger. What is there is not what you might expect. The man in the background appears to be whispering to the guard. This indicates messages or news of some sort. The two men in the forground have their arms raised, one has them open, the other supporting a weapon. The guard holds his, of course because it is expected. The over all feeling of this card is "get moving". Act now, don't wait for others to step forward. Its up to you to make the decision. When the news comes, MOVE. Things are happening all around you. It would be easy to get caught up in the excitement of events spinning almost out of control. Allow what is transpiring to simply transpire and you make your move, do what needs doing. It's important that you use the information that comes wisely. The things that have been holding you back can easily be set aside. You have the motivation to sweep a wide path, that changes everything in your life. The only warning with this card is, think first, move quickly and everything will come together as you move forward into the larger picture. Eight Of Hearts The eight of hearts indicates a time when one has out grown what is around you. That it is time to move on. the man has his fist raised in a position of success. The clock is on the left indicating it is time to move on. Because it's on the left it is past time. One woman is looking back,perhaps with regret toward what has been and it appears her intent is to distance herself from the current situation or peoples. The two women together, hesitate, one hooks elbows with the other and she in turn crosses her arms in a body posture of self

pretection or self preservation. One woman, the only bright place or color in the picture, has a smiles on her face, although it is pensive and watchful. She is keeping herself distanced from the others. There are a lot of figures on this card, the feeling is almost of chaos. When your situation becomes so distracting or confusing, you may have no choice but to move on. With everthing that is happening here, it leaves you with a sense that there are bigger and bedtter things out there, just waiting for you to embrace. By now, the clock seems to move forward becoming the focus. The world of dreams that you have existed in no longer is an option. The things you feel are wrong are within you, not around you. Let it go. Close the door to the things that make you feel out of focus. You need to do this to allow yourself to see the other doors or opportunities, that up till now have not been visible to you. Eight Of Spades If someone appears to hold a relic of the past in hishand, doe that mean that he holds the wisdom of the ages? In this picture on the eight of spades, the man happens to be holding a skull. Looking at it with a frown or is it one of discovery? The piece is very fragile, trapped within his grasp. The girl hides behind the door, watching him. She speaks not a word, as her arms cover her mouth. she cannot come out while he is there. The claw of the crowbar looms over head. Is that a threat? Who actually is the one suffeing severe restrictions? Is it he, with one major decision to make or is it she, who hides? the mans hand appears strong and his grip solid. One does not see fear etched in his face. The opening is narrow indicating a narrow path or few if any options. Is the door opening or is it closing? This is in the eye of the beholder.This indicateds that your limitations might very well be within you. ther is always a way out. You are not as poweless as you feel.The feelings of being crushed, trapped or restricted may be very real to you. Take stock of your situation, search out your options. The may be few, but they do exist. You are only limited by what is within. The emotions you are repressing will only fester if they are confronted. You need not fear your future. You have only to take the first step, then put the next foot forward, one step at a time. Eventually your goal will be realized. Eight Of Diamonds The eight of diamonds is a card of learning, seeking new truth. It's a card of expanding your limits. The building has many stories, towers and dark openings. What is inside or behind them? What is there for you to learn? Both men appear to be studing a document of some kind. the mystery of the unknown becoming less so with each turn of a page. One man is in a suit and tie and the other is not. It does not matter what your walk in life is, bur learning. Be he a rich man or a poor man, knowledge is free. The information is at your fingertips. the background is dark, indicating depth. the woman stands above them, an yet is behind the building. Her eyes do not appear to be open. Does this mean, she is "resting" for the moment? It indication to me is, she is preparing to move to a higher level fo education. She is the tower of knowledge. Please note, the building is leaning towards the right, almost as if she is supporting it while the men carry on with their studies. She is the pure strength depicted here. Her dress is lovely and it is also of red material, indicating a passion for learning, for stepping out, forgeing a new pathway of discovery,

using all the knowledge that echos in the halls of higher learning. the details on this card are somewhat out of focus. Be certain that theses are brought sharply to the forfront and leave nothing to chance. the message is to pay attention to the little things on your journey that will in the long run make up the greater whole. Nine Of Clubs The lady reading the newspaper seems to be suffering some anger or is very upset about something. Note the single finger, pointing and the tilt of her head. She seems totally unaware of the man beside her or the looming presents behind. The man behind the bars seems to have given up. What kind of struggle has he been through? There is a feeling of anguish in the over all picture. Like something that has been wonderful in their lives is at an end. One cannot see the actual eyes of any figure with the exception of the man behind. His are very sad. I can almost sense the tears. Is that her man? Did she not know until she read it in the paper? The man beside her, is he a legal counsel of some kind or is he a part of the new future she hopes to have? Or did she just read this person is being freed from his incarceration. Will she need to defend her own person now? Perhaps there is but one more thing she must over come or deal with before she can relax. My feeling is this man is someone from her past that she doesnt want to deal with. He on the other hand is certain to try to find her. There fore she is taking comfort only in the knowledge that she does have certain rights. She, at this time does not want anything new to upset the applecart. Once this figure from her past is out she does not feel that she can ever be safe again. This, in itself, makes me wonder, exactly what part did she play to bring this situation to this actual conclusion. Was she responsible? Or, is he the one at fault. There are certain things, one must face from their past, to move beyond. To grow. Sometimes, it may not be easy. Until it is done, there can be no rest. One must have closure to open new doors. Deal with the problem, face it and do not try to hide. It is the only way it will end for you. Nine Of Hearts This lady is definitely at peace with her self. She is lying back in comfort. The warmth of the basket I front of her makes me think of the decadence of a tabby cat, secure in its sleep, dreaming the dreams of the good and just. I believe this is exactly what she is doing. The fragrance of the flowers, permeate the room. Her senses are almost overwhelmed, mine certainly would be. Is that champagne or a simple bottle of wine? What ever it is, she has been enjoying it. The glass is nearly full, so my thoughts are she is about to celebrate something. That something she has wanted for a long time is coming to pass.

The nine of hearts is oftentimes call the wish card or dreams come true. One must be careful of what you wish for, because with this one in the lay out, it is apt to happen. Think carefully of who or what will be affected by your choice. The bottle of wine might also be empty, indicating that she has over indulged in some way and has simply passed out. This in itself is not always a bad thing. She has not hurt anyone by doing this. She has simply enjoyed. The pleasure she took was extreme and all things are going her way. Isnt this a wonderful card to draw? Be very happy when you see this one. It shows that things are going your way. There is some special event that will bring gladness to your heart. Relax, enjoy, drink and be merry. Do not worry about your diet for a few hours. Do what is in your heart for pleasure, pure and simple. Nine Of Spades The nine of spades is a card of concerns and deep worry. The lady has concerns that she feels she must hang on to. The chains make me think that she is in self bondage because of it. There is old wood of the chair back, showing the issue is an old one. Notice the tightness of the grip of the hand holding onto the chain. The knuckles are white from the extreme tension this has caused. The man standing beside her, seems to be shaking his fist a little or trying to make a point. He wears glasses, indicating to me, that he has some knowledge or can see clearly what she is doing to herself. The look on her face is one of anxiety and/or anger. This belongs to her and she has no intention of letting go of it. I cannot be certain, if it is a hurt she aggravated in another or if it is something deeper, darker. Something she wants to keep hidden. Nines are about endings. She needs to end what ever it is that causes so much self pity. Until she does, she will be unable to move on. This card is a warning. Let it go. Nothing is worth this much concern. You need to open yourself up and listen to others. At this time, heed the advice of those around you, who care. Trust yourself. It is time to loosen your grip, let the chain fall where it may. Turn around and sit down in that old wooden chair. Let the furrows in your brow smooth. Let the tension go. The path you are on is a lonesome one. Its time to let the endings of the nines happen. Nine Of Diamonds This card shows a man who has done a lot for him self, leaning on himself and coming in to his own. This card is one of success all the way around financially. The clothes he is wearing indicate that he did it himself. He did not delegate all that was done. It gives the illusion that he has made a pile of money. Great richness. The fisted hand shows he worked hard to get to this point and he has no intention of letting go. The hands in the pockets of his jacket show he is at ease with himself. He has made it.

It brings to mind the old maxim, that something worth having is worth working for. This has been a long time in the making, he is not an over night success. There is a bit of money coming in now and he might easily lay most of it out again for something that will heighten his feeling of self worth. I do not feel any glee in this picture. What I see is a calmness with an easement of stress. This fist is tightly clenched, yes, but it appears to be opening. So perhaps it time that he looks around at all he might have been missing. He has reached a stage that brings and end to his struggles. Hopefully the next step will be easier for him. Ten Of Clubs Here we see a man that appears to be at ease somehow with the things that are happening in the world around him. How ever, this is not the case. The storage units are stacked high in the back, indicating there is a lot of responsibility. The rope shows it might even feel as though it is tightening slowly. With all of his responsibilities on one would think he would try to find some way to lessen the load. But, alas he is not. He sits there in quiet contemplation of all that he has too do and seems to be doing nothing to make it easier. The rope seems bigger then life, doesnt it? Are you over whelmed by the things you shoulder in your life? Isnt it time to move your hand away from your chin, raise it up in front of you and say, Enough!!? He holds his coffee and the newspaper just lies there unnoticed in his lap. Has he so many burdens that he is unaware of life outside of his little room? Isnt it time to open your eyes and hold up your chin and stop with the self pity. All that needs doing is not all yours. Others can do a lot of it, allowing you a little freedom with in your mind. Do not keep all the responsibility just so you can feel bad or drop into self pity over all you have yet to do. There is no need to give it all up. There is much you can do. Line up your ducks, put them in a row and let the rest go to someone else. Wake up! And take pride in the things you can do. Ten Of Hearts There is a lot of pleasure in this picture. The pillow gives a feeling of contentment and security. To me, it is something to lay my head on for rest. The lady in the back ground might be the mother or and older person, whom the ones in the foreground trust and feel safe with. The two young gals are looking up with extreme pleasure. Their surroundings as warm, indicated by the soft pink of the pillow, the warm brown of the basket. There are three people depicted here. Hence, a small group of close family or friends. I do not feel any animosity, only love and sheer happiness. A giving, satisfying environment. There is an easy feeling of camaraderie in this circle of people. The woman is leaning a little to the side, enjoying the happiness she sees before her. It does not

appear that she is the cause of it nor are either of the other two, alone in this. All three seem committed. The significance of this ten is one is simply enjoying the company of a small circle of people, friends or family. There is no stress or hurt, only happiness. Ten Of Spades There is great sorrow depicted here. Someone has reached rock bottom and is suffering badly because of it. The situation is painful, and the only way out of it will cause even more pain. The door is open only a little and the woman appears to be the cause of the situation. No one is looking at her, but she, in turn watches the pain in the foreground. Some one has hurt you badly, some situation has transpired or events have conspired to bring you to the point of ruin. The suit of spades so often deal with deception, that it makes me wonder, if she can trust the one that is holding her either. Is his sympathy real? Or only for the moment. I get a feeling the woman is hiding from them or is stealthily watching. They seem unaware of her presence. Because there are three places thru which one can look, the windows and the opening, I feel, this is not the first that this person has done this to you. Its time to walk away from a bad situation that will never be a good. You will leave someone or something that you care deeply for, so the leaving will not be easy. It is one more pain you will have to bare. The grief you will suffer if you stay, is untenable. Ten Of Diamonds Look at the lushness of the rug in the back ground. The feel of luxury and contentment. The kitten is so small compared to the books. A gentle smile is clearly in her eyes and lifting the corners of her mouth. She seems to have it all. Everything she has wanted or needs is within easy touch of her fingertips. She has the ability to gain knowledge and use what she knows for her own betterment. The volumes are not slim ones. So, the depth of her knowledge is great. The white indicates the purity of her inner self and makes one know that all she has accomplished is on the up and up. There is no hint of underhandedness here. The girl is secure in her knowledge, knowing that what she has done and who she has become are deep inside of her. This is not a surface situation. This comes from a long line of family heritage and tradition. There is much she can do with in her community to help those with less training and she is happy to do so. Even the animal in the foreground approaches her with out fear of

rejection. This ten is a very good card to draw. It brings you a new level of understanding of what has been, is and will be. Jack Of Clubs This picture gives the warm thought of close friendship or someone who cares very much about you. Notice her hand touching the side of her glasses, and the index finger pointing. I am not sure who is giving who support. Who has the secret to share. Both are smiling and look very content to be in the others company. There is an underlying passion between these two. its a solid friendship, if one notes the stone wall in the back. The colors project a feeling of warmth although, darkness too. You cannot see her eyes and his are closed, letting the world know that what is said here or what news is shared is not known to all. It is between this couple. Again, the background here, gives a feeling of openness or vastness of area. They are very close to the forefront. Both are business people, clean orderly and responsible. The bulk of her jewelry indicates a no nonsense approach to life. The deepness of the smile line on his face shows it is not the first time he has smiled. It is a way of life for him. Her smile is wide and freely exposing her teeth. To me, it shows and easy camaraderie between to friends. If you look to the foreground and then the background, you notice there is a tremendous difference between the two. Are you leaving all that you know and are familiar with for something totally unknown? The business suits do not exactly fit in with the out doors. Jack Of Hearts Here one sees two people apparently deeply in love. She rests her head against his chest and he allows it. They appear as close as they can be. Occasionally, seeing is not always what it appears to be. One cannot deny the friendship here. There is a warmth through out this card that is undeniable. He, the Jack is a charmer, she is here with him because she wants to be. Look a little closer. She is not looking at him, not even looking towards him, nor is he at her. He appears to be looking off or figuring out his next move. The water is in motion behind them. A few ripples disturbing the surface. The sky forms a dark back drop, almost blending with the trees. The roses in the upper corner, show by intimation, this is a lovers meeting. Full of soft words and deep emotions. The tie or bow around her neck, shows she is hooked. There is no encumbrance for him here. She is the one this interlude means the most too. Not him. His hair is wild looking and hers is smooth. His is windswept and hers is not tousled at all. The feeling here, for me, is that, he might use her emotions or feelings for him, to manipulate her into a situation that he can easily walk away from, although it will be

much harder for her. There is a underlying seriousness depicted here. She is not his only lover. The depth of her love for him is great. His feelings are just as deep, but he poses ready to jump out of the boat or push off. Enjoy your time with this person, as he can touch your heart and make you fall in love. THIS, is his quest in life. Jack Of Spades There is a lot going on, on this card. its a busy, active, totally involved situation. The books and papers indicate learning and or messages. A lot of stress, muscles bulging. News, via the telephone. There is nothing easy going depicted here. The woman is smiling but it does not reach her eyes. The indication here is she is not happy with the news she received but isnt letting on how she feels. He, on the other hand, figures he has enough to contend with and one more obstacle is just one more obstacle. The question arises, are the interests here in conflict? Does she even care what stress he is under? Does he know how little she cares? Or is that her underlying concern, why the smile never leaves her mouth? As you can see, the weight he is about to lift is tremendously heavy. One can only hope he will think twice before lifting it with out a spotter. He has placed himself in a dangerous situation. My feeling is he will go forth with it, regardless of the out come. Looking closer, she may not even be aware of this. Her involvement with her conversation has some import. It looks like she has surrounded herself with that which holds no interest for him and he with her. This situation, definitely presents a challenge to both, to make it work. He has his toys and she has, what? Jack Of Diamonds This card indicates that care must be taken in dealing with a person or situation. He, in the front wears a suit showing a business or white collar worker. She wears a sundress and is not of his world. The man looming in the back, does not belong in either world, so to speak. This card may be about choices. A rather big, important one. Which way will she go? Will she take the gamble. The man on the right, is not impressed with what she is saying to him. It doesnt concern him that the other one is watching. Maybe she has a need that needs to be taken care of and he couldnt care less to become involved. His eyes are closed, a clear indication of not seeing, hers are not even in the picture. The third persons are in dark shadow. My feeling is to be wary of certain deceit in money matters. Some ones security is at risk. What ever is developing, is slow, insidious growth. Open your eyes and look clearly at all angles, take a moment to ascertain your finances are as they should be. Do not leave anything to chance. Someone is watching

and keep in mind, you are not alone all the time. Take care that you are not the one that is about to do something that is not on the up and up. Queen Of Clubs The Queen of Clubs is a card of heightened passion. The fire in the back ground is burning flame, raging across the land. It can be destructive, eating everything in its path or it can be a fire that simply clears the way for new growth. It can be a cleansing fire. This is the passion of the woman in the foreground. She is lady of the most gentile sort. She is knowledgeable, as can be plainly seen with the book and the glasses. It shows that she studies and works constantly to gain new insights into what ever has piqued her interest. The stone cliff or wall, indicates a strength that is not found in all the suits or face cards. It is a warm strength, giving help when needed, good advice when warranted. This lady is the mother of powerful knowledge. She is ruled by the fifth house of the zodiac. This gives grace and beauty. She is sexy and romantic. An actress on center stage. Her voice should be heeded as she will help you and give from her very soul. Do not cross her, because then her anger will sear a path through the universe. Her stage is her own, of her own making, do not try to take it from her, least you rue the day. In the event of a three sided love affair, this is often the other woman. There is a light, although it throws very little brightness. Her dress is red and indication of the scarlet woman. She creates problems and enjoys watching the fall out. Deceit can be her middle name. What ever problems or worries you have in your life, she, with little doubt is connected to them somehow. This lady has suffered a tremendous loss and suffers silently. She is alone an must strike out on her own with little or no help from others. This makes her independent. Is this you? What losses have you suffered that have brought you to this point in your life? Because of the overt power displayed here, one might take a moment to look over ones own motivations to see what or where it happens to be leading. King Of Hearts Take note of the pure pleasure the dog shows for the man. His ears laid back and he is throwing himself towards him. The strawberry shows pleasure although the newel post separates the fruit from the situation developing in the back ground. The forest is dark green with much shadow and light. This card deals with emotionalism and unconditional love. This can mean where is this relationship going? What does it mean? This makes me think of commitment. Once your pet loves you, generally it is forever. This card is about commitment. One must be sensitive to derive pleasure from the colors of the forest. To seek out the gentle rays of light. The touch of love displayed from your pet or a person within your relationship. This person is devoted and non judgmental with you. With in a situation of anger or hardship, this card can indicate the need for a mediator, someone who can see the situation for what it is with out bias.

King Of Spades The King of Spades is a card of strength and perversity. You might note, the look of aloofness of the man in the foreground. It is as though he does not even be aware of the other man speaking to him. The gal in the back ground, seems almost to be imprisoned by what is going on here. Its very dark in this picture. The chains are an indication of judgments called and acted on. The building is very old, judging by the wood on its exterior and almost gives a feeling of broken windows or in this case, broken feelings. My feeling is that the man is providing a sense of security and maybe his way is not the conventional way. Locking someone up or locking up ones feelings oftentimes leads to less security. The question you might ask yourself, is, am I doing what is right in this situation? The look in the eyes of the middle ground person is one of intensity. Are you too intense in your feelings? Are you sure this is the correct decision? Maybe you might need to invest your feelings or dealings in something with more stability. The chains are two dimensional and this could indicate that there are always one more dimension to completion. Perhaps it is only the shadows that are missing or are you hiding in the shadows? Some times it is best to let go of things that hold you back rather them gather them close and hang on to them. King Of Diamonds The King of Diamonds is a card of strength and knowledge. It is a card of knowing what is the right thing to do. Knowledge is gained from research and study. The woman has a gentle smile on her face, a very knowing smile. It appears she has all the answers. The man on the other hand is looking down on her, waiting for her to share what she has. She holds in her hand an item that belongs to her. Could that be her knowledge? Is it her money? This is a way of showing others, that it belongs to her and she will give it up under only the correct circumstances. You can visualize the power houses in the background, a pure indication of mansions with domed tops, that is in the capitol city of some far off place. It takes a great deal of knowledge, gained through reading, higher education and learning to build such a thing. All the books indicate that a tremendous amount of work has gone into some situation. It is better in this case to hold on to what you have. It is not for the sharing just for the sake of sharing. Let the other person wait or do the work that you did to get this far. Shuffle the cards as you would and cut them, three times. Gather them up moving from left to right using your left hand. The left hand is closest to your heart. If you are reading for someone else, have them cut them. Either yourself or the quarent can shuffle. Draw three cards from the top of the deck and lay them down using the first card in the position of the past on the far left, the second card as the present, in the center and the third card as one indicating the future on the far right. The Second Card This placement speaks of the present or the now in your life. It determines the events that are shaping up now with in your current environment. It also shows how fast or slow things are happening, depending on the suit. Does it deal with matters of the heart and home (hearts)? Or is it having to do with work and career goals (clubs)? Is the issue money security or possessions (diamonds)? Lastly, could it be deceit, obstacles and worries (spades)? The Third Card The last card in the draw shows the future if you continue on your present path. Bear in mind the future is not set in stone. You have the power within yourself to make the changes needed in your life. Over all, it is up to you to make what ever changes are needed to gear the future to what you want.

Who A face card: can indicate a person of the birth time from the zodiac. A number card might be someone you know or are about to know that you will meet with in a situation dealing with that number, example, the number 2 might be a close personal friend. A 5 someone who is going through a change that causes heartache or loss. Also look at the house of the zodiac that rules the card. This sun sign is a good indication of who it might be When This card gives some indication of the time frame of the event or situation that is developing or is of concern. It is very important to use the houses of the zodiac for this position. Look at the card and refer again to its placement on in the zodiac. If it is ruled by Gemini, it will be a good indication of communications. Perhaps it is ruled by Sagittarius, if this is the case, it will be in a center of continuing education or some place far away. Its very easy if you just use what you have at your fingertips Why This is generally the biggest question of all. Everyone wants to know why something happened or will happen. The only thing you can garner from this is if it deals 57

with clubs: work or career, hearts: home and matters of the heart, diamonds: financial fluctuations or spades: major decisions, hard ones.
