MINERALS EXPORT DUTY (ABOLITION) ACT, 19872 AN ACT to abolish export duty imposed on minerals and to provide for related matters. Establishment 1. Abolition of export duty on minerals (1) Except as otherwise provided in the Minerals and Mining Act, 19863 all export duty imposed on minerals by or under any enactment is hereby abolished. (2) For the purpose of this Act, (a) "mineral" shall have the same meaning assigned to it in the Minerals and Mining Act, 1986;4 (b) "duty" includes levy. 2. N.R.C.D. 269 repealed Omitted.5 3. Third Schedule to L.I. 838 amended The Customs and Excise Regulations, 1973 (L.I. 838) as amended by the Customs and Excise Tariff (Amendment) Regulations, 1984 (L.I. 1309) are hereby further amended by the revocation of Tariff Numbers 3.2, 3.5, 3.6, and 3.7 and all particulars relating thereto. 4. Commencement

This Act shall be deemed to have come into force on 4th July, 1986.
