Ali Jamal First we need to arrange proper waste disposal procedures. Then we need to run a long awareness campaign to let people know there are better options available than what we are doing now. It takes time for people to abandon a habit. So patience is important.
Simad Saeed regulations, awareness, waste reduction, waste collection, waste bins, waste disposal, public space clean up.. I wonder who is doing what at this moment? Who is responsible for collection and disposal?
Data/Statistcs
Affordability [subsidies by Council???] Ahmed Nadeem I suppose the collection is commercially driven... Mrf 50/- per month for collecting once a week, and Mrf 75/- per month for twice per week. It is not mandatory for the households to use this service, so many are not using the service on grounds of being not afforadable. Ahmed Nadeem Can somebody find out how many households are using the currently? There are around 3200 households..
Simad Saeed/Ahmed Nizam/Mohamed Ushau Standard Willingness to Pay Survey Ushau/Iyaz/Nadeem: use existing studies in Waste Management as base studies. Hisam Ali: since a lot of studies has been done, how much does it cost to manage waste in addu? | obtain finance through budget.
