II. Materials Vinegar muriatic acid Baking powder calamansi Aspirin paper Detergent phenolphthalein Vials tubes Water shampoo lye lime water ammonia bottle cap of tansan toothpaste test fish sauce litmus

III. Procedure 1. Measure 5 ml of each of the substances in a test tube or vial and label them accordingly. Note: For solid samples, dissolve, I small amount of distilled water. Caution: In diluting acid, add acid to water and not water to acid.

2. Dip separately a red and blue litmus paper into each test tube or vial.

3. Repeat procedure number one and put a drop of phenolphthalein solution to the new set of substances in the test tubes or vials. 4. Record the color change and tour observation in the table.
