If Derek Jeter gave someone advice on how to hit a ball-people would listen-in the same way-people should honor what God says and read the words of Jesus in the Bible. If you honor what God says-you can trust it as good for your life because He is the one who knows best WEEK 2 DAVID There s POWER in KNOWING GOD So KNOW that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God. Deuteronomy 7:9 Show the kids a picture of Arnold Schwarzenegger and say that people have heard lately that he fathered a child outside of his marriage. Since he was not faithful to his wife, she wants to divorce him and she was very hurt by that. Lots of people have been hurt when others are not faithful to them. God is faithful. He comes through with his promises. If He promises to never leave you or push you aside then you can know that He will be true because you can believe Him. If we don t follow the first sign to where the exit is, we may be walking in circles. If we don t follow the second one, a person could get shot instead of the intended prey (we won t say the word animal in case some kids are sensitive).

In the same way, we must fear the Lord which means to know that he knows where we should exit at times or where we should not go because we could get hurt-when we follow His rules because He knows and sees everything-we have good understanding.
