The data of the tables 1-4, and the additional examples given above
demonstrated that the new facts, scientific knowledge, innovative concepts and
approaches in organizing factual data that were presented in the books
(Ostroumov, 1986; Telitchenko, Ostroumov, 1990; Yablokov, Ostroumov, 1983,
1985; 1991) were accepted and used in the education of students in Russia,
Belarus, Ukraine, Lithuania, and Georgia [13]. It was used also in other countries
e.g. in Poland (Ostroumow, 1992), Malaysia (Yablokov, Ostroumov, 1991), and
Czech Republic (Jablokov, Ostroumov, 1991), e.g., in the University of South
Bohemia.
This demonstrates a broad applicability of the interdisciplinary
monographs, and their usefulness in modernizing the education in ecology and
environmental sciences.
