PRESS RELEASE On 7/22/11 I received a certified letter that Serafina Mastro Chairwoman of the Yorktown Republican Committee stating

that she filed a general objection to the Republican Party designating petitions. Next letter I received stated that she filed specifications of grounds of objection. I received a letter from the Board of Elections dated July 25, 2011 indicating a ruling on the objections filed against me was 94. The required 386 signatures with 94 objections left 361 that ruled my petitions invalid and I will not appear on the Republican Party primary ballot on September 13, 2011. She had the right to object to my petitions, but why only me a fellow Republican (District Leader), a senior citizen, a veteran, a tax activist and Watchdog for the Yorktown residents. I would have given the people of Yorktown another choice for a Republican councilman. The people should decide who they want to serve. I will continue to campaign to get elected in September s Republican primary and November s general election. I will be asking you to write in my name, Edward Ciffone in the appropriate box on the ballot as a write-in candidate. I want to thank my fellow Republicans for your support and signatures and now I need your votes. Before you vote ask where and how to do a write vote then write in my full name. I may have lost a battle, but the war isn t over yet. Ed Ciffone The Yorktown Watchdog 2635 Dunning Drive Yorktown (914) 245-1018
