FOWLER S POSITION

FOWLER S POSITION
-used for feeding patients in bed, for certain treatments and procedures, for patients comfort while visiting or watching television, and for those who have trouble breathing.

ORTHOPNEIC POSITION

ORTHOPNEIC POSITION

This is a variation of high fowlers position and is used for patients who havedifficulty in breathing.

Supine Position

This position is one in which people lie on their backs, in almost a completely flat position. They might have a pillow under the head or under some type of the body to promote greater comfort.

SEMI-SUPINE POSITION

SEMI-SUPINE POSITION

- a patient faces up with the body positioned at approximately a 45 angle, or midway between sitting and standing.

-indicates

a face-down body

position.

Semi- prone position

This position relieves pressure on the hips.
