Lying on his or her back.

Position is lying face down.

Dorsal Recumbent Position

Patient is on their back with the hips and knees flexed and the thighs apart. The position is often used for vaginal examinations and childbirth.

A position in which the patient lies on one side with the under arm behind the back and the upper thigh flexed, used to facilitate rectal/vaginal examination.

HIGH FOWLERS

A prone position in which the individual rests on the knees and upper part of the chest, assumed for gynecologic or rectal.

The patient is sitting up and bent forward with the arms supported on a table or chair arms.

Lateral position

the patient is lying on their right side. or the patient is lying on their left side.

Lying supine with their head slightly lower than their feet.

Reverse Trendelenburg

It is the opposite of the Trendelenburg position, in which the head and the neck are below the lower extremities.
