Confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, so that you may be healed ~James 5:16 Forgiveness is Gods plan for healing inner wounds inflicted by other peoples wrongs. The process of forgiveness is Gods invention for coming to terms with a broken, fallen, word in which we hurt and are hurt by others. The courage to forgive and let go of the wrongs that have been done to us (or we have done to others) comes from the overwhelming daily experience of God forgiving and forgetting our sins and shortcomings. How much easier is it for us to be merciful when we are regularly reminded of how much God has forgiven us? Canon Andrea, a recently ordained priest, leads Healing Ministries and Programs for the Anglican Diocese in New England. She holds a DMin from Trinity School for Ministry, a MDiv from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and a MS in Administrative Studies from Boston College. Prior to ministering in Lower Fairfield County, CT Andrea served in the Boston area both in ministry and in the marketplace. Her passion is for mobilizing the church to effectively minister to the sick and broken with the compassion, sensitivity, and empowerment of Jesus Christ.
