The thermophysic and thermodynamics properties we have in our software can be applied to this two groups: a) Application in which the fluids inherent the heat exchange that do not undergo any change of phase b) Applications in which the fluids inherent to the heat exchange undergo a change of phase (*) In the first group we have : EHE (software for the Electric Heaters), SHELL (Software for the shell and tubes)in fluid- fluid, PHE(software for the Plate Heat Exchangers) fluid-fluid, TT (Tube and Tube)fluid-fluid In the second group we have: 1) SHELL (liquid to vapour passage) a) evaporation inside the tubes b) evaporation outside the tubes (flooded) 2) SHELL condensation (vapour to liquid passage) a) condensation inside the tubes b) condensation outside the tubes 3) PHE evaporation (liquid to vapour passage) a) evaporation 4) PHE condensation (vapour to liquid passage) a) condensation 5) TT evaporation (liquid a vapour passage) a) evaporation inside the tubes b) evaporation outside the tubes 6) TT condensation (vapour to liquid passage) a) condensation inside the tubes b) condensation outside the tubes Heat Transfer applications without change of phase need in order to perform the calculation the following termophysics fluid properties (#) a) b) c) d) Density Specific Heat Thermal conductivity Viscosity

Heat Transfer applications with phase change required to run the calculations in addition to the thermophysic properties of the fluids both in liquid and vapour phase also the thermodynamic properties.

a) Enthalpy differences calculated for the change of state temperature b) Pressure Temperature curve c) Latent Heat

(*) for change of phase we mean the passage of a fluid from state to the other, for example liquid to vapour, vapour to liquid, liquid to solid, solid to liquid, etc

THERMOPHYSIC AND THERMODYNAMIC LIBRARIES USED BY THE UNILAB SUITE

Currently the Unilab Software Suite uses the following libraries: a) Refprop ver. 8 of the NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) contains within it a wide variety of fluid oriented to the air conditioning and refrigeration. This library contains both thermodynamics and thermophysical properties: R22 R404A R407C R410A 1BUTENE ACETONE AIR AMMONIA ARGON BENZENE BUTANE C12 C2BUTENE C4F10 C5F12 CF3I CO CO2 COS CYCLOHEX CYCLOPRO D2 D2O DECANE DME ETHANE ETHANOL ETHYLENE FLUORINE H2S HELIUM HEPTANE HEXANE HYDROGEN IBUTENE IHEXANE IPENTANE ISOBUTAN KRYPTON METHANE METHANOL N2O NEON NEOPENTN NF3 NITROGEN NONANE OCTANE OXYGEN PARAHYD PENTANE PROPANE PROPYLEN PROPYNE R11 R113 R114 R115 R116 R12 R123 R124 R125 R13 R134a R14 R141B R142B R143A R152A R21 R218 R227EA R23 R236EA R236FA R245CA R245FA R32 R365MFC R401A R401B R401C R402A R402B R403A R403B R405A R406A R407A R407B R407D R407E R408A R409A R409B R41 R410B R411A R411B R412A R413A R414A R414B R415A R415B R416A R417A R418A R419A R420A R421A R421B R422A R422B R422C R422D R423A R424A R425A R426A R427A R428A R500 R501 R502 R503 R504 R507A R508A R508B R509A RC318 SF6 SO2 T2BUTENE TOLUENE WATER XENON
