Sex Addiction
This presentation provides a nonjudgmental understanding of pornography and sexual addiction and its relationship to both early trauma survival and problems with intimacy and healthy adult sexuality. You will learn about survivor shame as it relates to the shame of addictive sex, while receiving clarity regarding sexual sobriety and relationship healing. Assessment, diagnosis and treatment overview will be included.

Robert Weiss, M.S.W., Licensed Clinical Social Worker & Certified Sexual Addiction Specialist Robert Weiss is Founding Director of The Sexual Recovery Institute: Los Angeles. As a UCLA MSW graduate, he received extensive post-graduate training with Dr. Patrick Carnes. Mr. Weiss is author of Cruise Control, and coauthor of both Untangling the Web and Cybersex Exposed. Recent media appearances include The Oprah Winfrey Show, Larry King Live, Dateline NBC and The Today Show. He also provides clinical training and program development to several national addiction programs and the United States Military.
