Informasi Materi Dengan mengidentifikasi makna gagasan dimaksudkan bahwa siswa dapat mengenali teks prosedur berkenaan dengan How to Cook Agar-Agar, selanjutnya siswa dapat mengetahui cara membuat agar-agar, dan pada akhirnya memahami tujuan komunikatif teks berbentuk prosedur yang diberikan guru. Istilah-istilah penting berkaitan dengan tema teks prosedur:
1. Prosedur, adalah tahapan atau langkah-langkah untuk menyelesaikan kegiatan atau aktivitas tertentu atau secara singkat sering juga tersebut tatacara. 2. Procedure text adalah teks yang isinya menyampaikan langkah-langkah atau cara-cara melakukan atau membuat sesuatu benda. Generic structure: Aim/Goal - Materials/Tools - Steps/Methods-Aim/Goal, contoh : Ketika disajikan tentang teks yang bertemakan tentang bagaimana cara membuat makanan / minuman, maka yang diperlukan adalah: 1. Materials (Bahan) berisi: bahan - bahan dan atau alat - alat untuk membuat makanan / minuman tersebut. 2.
