TASK 3

SENDING AND RECEIVING EMAILS

The staff at Quik Pix use e-mail to share information for the
majority of the jobs they do.

Make sure you use suitable subject headings and message


text when carrying out these e-mail tasks.

Use annotated screenprints of the e-mail messages to provide evidence that you have
completed all these tasks.

Do the annotation using AUTOSHAPES !

Task 3A

The owner of Quik Pix, Mr Renton Line, has sent you an e-mail with
an attachment. Save the attachment to a suitable folder in your
work area.

(Your teacher will send you this e-mail, as the owner).

Reply to Mr Line's e-mail attaching at least one of the graphics that


you collected in task 2.

Forward the e-mail from Mr Line to at least two work colleagues


(other students in your class).

Task 3D - to achieve higher grades

Create contacts to store at least three e-mail addresses that you


have used in this task.

(One of the addresses should be your teacher's, i.e. the owner's)

Create your own e-mail signature to be inserted into all your


outgoing messages.

Task 3F

Write a new e-mail to Mr Line (i.e. to be sent to your teacher):

• Your e-mail message should explain what actions can be


taken to reduce the risks involved in receiving and opening e-
mail attachments.
• Use your contacts to cc the message to one of the contacts
you added
• Use your contacts to bcc the message to the other contact
you added
• Set the priority of the message to high
