Is wearing cap ONLY for Prayer Sunnah or Biddah Praise be to the lord of all that exists We see masjids

with plastic/mat caps, which people wear ONLY during prayers and claim that it is sunnah to wear during prayers. Prophet used to wear turban and not just a cap. Here the point to note is DID NABE ONLY WEAR TURBAN FOR PRAYER? NO, it was the dress of Arabs to cover their head, they used to wear it whole day, all time and not just for prayers. Allah says O Children of Adam! Take your adornment (by wearing your clean clothes) while praying[al-Araaf 7:31] ,which Allaah revealed because the mushrikeen used to circumambulate the Kabah naked. With regard to adorning oneself for prayer, it is something that is additional to covering the awrah( parts that need to be covered for prayer). If people say covering head is sunnah during prayers, then why do they not wear the type of dress prophet used to wearsimple reasonin Islam we have dress guidelines and not dress codeCovering head was part of their dress code.. But in our country it is not the same. In our countries Cap/Turban/Gatra is not part of our adornment, but if we see countries like Oman, Dubai, Saudi, people there wear it round the clock, so when they are praying, it is on their head. Even I have not come across any Sahih Hadees in which prophet directed men to wear cap or cover their heads compulsorily for prayers. Do the people who wear the plastic/mat caps for prayers stand in front of their bosses with those caps, NO.? Than how can we afford to stand in front of our lord, just because we cannot see him? And also wearing those caps worn by so many people is unhygienic and Islam promotes cleanliness, correct? In fact many scholars are of the view that wearing CAP only for prayer is Bidah, as neither Prophet nor any Sahaba just wore the CAP for prayer, instead they used to wear it round the clock. I dont encourage people to pray bare headed. In fact we should cover our heads round the clock to follow the sunnah. May Allah bless us all to wear cap round the clock. And Allah knows the best
